Re: So I guess I have OSA - what happens next?
As for your insurance, it sounds similar to mine. I pay a monthly copay for 12 months as does the insurance company, but I must use the machine at least 4 hours per night and 20 days per month for the first 3 months. My DME says 3B medical gets a report from my machine, which has a cell connection and they send the report to my pulmonary doctor and UHC insurance every three months.

Re: 3BMedical Luna II
I have only had my 3BMedical Luna II auto set CPAP fir a few days, but it is much quieter and easier to operate and make changes than my old Resmed System One CPAP machine. I like it. Plus my Resmed ws recalled and I gave up waiting for them to replace it. But I expect that is what Phillips is hopin...

Re: CPAP Compliance
My provider said that I have to use the machine 21 days out of 30 for a minimum of 4 hours per night. I pay a rental fee for 12 months of $9.63 and the insurance company pays a monthly fee which with my copay pays for the machine in 12 months. After that the machine is mine.

Re: Oxygen Desaturation reaction time
I went to a sleep cventer last week, but have been on CPAP for 12 years. Yhey let my O2 level go down to 66 before adding oxygen to my CPAP> I have read that any level below 79 can cause brain damage. Did they expose me to brain damage or what?

My last A1c was 6.1. But the damage done over the years has taken its toll.Janknitz wrote:My 550S recognizes when the mask is not on, it distinguishes this from a large leak.

I have the System one Remstar with auto A flex machine. I have the Sleepyhead software. When I get up to use the bathroom during the night(which occurs 3-6 time each night). Does the software register this as leaks. If so, should I turn the CPAP machine off each time before unhooking the hose or not...

I got my Primary Care Physican to write a prescription and had brought in how I wanted it worded. She complied without a problem. I get all my meds from her,so I do not have to see the expensive specialist every year.
