Re: problem with my old machine after getting it checked.
No, I took the main unit off the next day, (Saturday. ..today). I know how to get into the hidden menu and change things. I didn't really notice anything different. Checked last night's sleep data and it showed the pressure I set the night before...if it's accurate. Didn't say a pressure of 29 that...

Re: problem with my old machine after getting it checked.
You were using the "Gold Standard" of XPAP treatment, you went to a ENT, to see if you could get a knife solution. The resulting suggestions lead you to a poor excuse for a retest, by a not so honest company, that you claim damaged your XPAP, when there was no need for them to clean or test it in t...

If you want to stay with the Respironics brand then I would look at the latest DreamStation APAP (links to products at cpap.com provided for informational purposes to show models and features. Cpap.com can't ship Respironics or ResMed products outside the US but these links will get you started on ...

Re: problem with my old machine after getting it checked.
Thanks Pugsy, I have no insurance so I am paying for it from money I don't really have or can afford, but I have no choice. Again I have no idea what she did to my old machine, but something changed after that no doubt about it. I guess I need a new machine. Will check your links. Thanks from Vancou...

Re: problem with my old machine after getting it checked.
Thanks for the info. I guess I will just try to find a new one for a reasonable price. Any suggestions on a new machine? I need an auto with pressure relief, humidifier, easy to get into the Secret tech menus etc. And data storage more advanced than my 7 year old man series. Suggestions are very muc...

Re: problem with my old machine after getting it checked.
Is there any reliable online vendors that will ship to Canada? I am assuming you mean online vendor in the US that will/can ship to Canada....if so, check out secondwindcpap.com. They can/will ship to Canada. Reliable and offer gently used low hour machines and new open box zero hour machines. You ...

problem with my old machine after getting it checked.
Hello, I recently went to an ENT Dr. Asking about the possibility of surgery for OSA . In BC , Canada you can only get covered for surgery if your OSA is Severe. Years ago mine was diagnosed as Moderate. He suggested that I get a Level 3, overnight study done (without using the machine) to find out ...

Re: Canadian CPAP suppliers?
clinicalsleep.com... they are the biggest and best on the lower mainland. Cpapoutlet.ca they are in Ontario I have used both..... clinical sleep has sold me a new machine, and after almost two years of use it got noisy, called them and they shipped me a brand new one at no charge... I was and still...

Canadian CPAP suppliers?
This is for the Canadians on this forum. (I'm in the Vancouver area) Was wondering if any of you have ordered online for equipment/supplies from Canadian suppliers. Who do you think is most reliable/best pricing/service etc. The US/Can $ exchange rate really puts a damper on ordering from the uSA. T...

Re: Update and more questions
Hi Vancity, I've never used a data-capable M-series, just a brick, so I don't know the nuances of their scoring. Everyone has been focused on the hypopneas, but I'm wondering if M-Series is more likely to lump some CA's into the OA category? If so, then perhaps you could ask at your appointment if ...

Re: Update and more questions
Hi again, I thought I would bump my pressure back to 9 cm ( past 3 nights). I know that 3 days is not a trend make, but the data is different from the 3 nights at 8 cm. AHI is way down as are the HA's. Note the OA's are up. Strange isn't it? Here are the charts: http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a...

I wonder why when taking something to help sleep through the results are better?DoriC wrote: My husband also gets better results and lower AHI when he takes an Ambien but then he's groggy most of the day. I don't think Ativan or Ambien gives you a "natural" sleep?

Re: Update and more questions
It might also be interesting to see if you would still have the hyponeas if you were using one of the new PR S1 machines instead of the M series. Could be different on another machine...a better machine...but I am stuck with this old one for now and the foreseeable future. Thing is that all these c...
