Re: Advice needed about rainout
Thanks for your comments. I do have a padacheek that came with my swift lt mask, and it doesn't seem to do the trick. I will try with the heated hose to see if it helps. Does the heated hose just have one knob to control the temperature? DO you have to plug it in to an outlet in addition to your mac...

Advice needed about rainout
Hello all, I am still having problems with rainout in my mask, especially when I use the nasal pillows. Are some masks more likely to have rainout than others? I was also told a heated hose could be ordered but a doctors script was needed. Being that I have the humidifier set at 1 and I still get ra...

I wanted to get two different masks so I could alternate, since I tried two different ones during my sleep study, but they said I had ...

Re: CPAP and visually impaired
I use a screen reader, JAWS and sometimes NVDA, and when I tried running Sleepyhead it wouldn't read anything on the screen. I tried using the OCR feature but it wouldn't let me click anything to agree to terms, etc. Must be very graphical. I'm bummed and hope there's something out there that will w...

Humidifier questions from a new user
Hello, my name is Judy and I am very new to the CPAP world. I just got my machine last week. From what I've read, the Respironics System 1 humidifiers don't get really hot, especially in System 1 mode. I haven't tried switching it to classic mode yet. I'd tried it at 2-3 and I didn't notice the wate...
