Re: Does CPAP cause congestion?
Yes, I used CPAP successfully for over a year, but I'm having trouble dealing with the congestion now too, to the point that I've stopped using the machine. I need to try to get back on it. For me, it's not so much nasal congestion as it is thick phlegm at the back of my throat and a cold nose. Sorr...

Re: phlegm from new climateline hose?
Thank you so much, Chunkyfrog, Blackspinner and Jamis. Now I have a plan. I will wash out the new supplies and air them out. Then I'll play around with the humidifier settings. I'm also going to hang on to my old hose. I just took a good long nap (from 3pm to 7pm!). I switched back to the old hose. ...

phlegm from new climateline hose?
Hi everyone. After seven months on cpap, I'm back to ask a new question. I finally got some replacement stuff in the mail yesterday. I asked for a climateline hose, which I have never used before, since the cold weather is approaching, and I had some problems with cold nose when I started. I plugged...

Re: Feeling worse after a week on cpap
Thanks, you guys are awesome. I will make it a priority to understand the machine better, as well as the Sleepyhead data. And I will get back to using the machine every night. Especially since I'm otherwise adjusting really well, and I feel lucky about that. I'm still congested, so maybe I really am...

Re: Feeling worse after a week on cpap
cobra4x4, I think you are right. Last night, I decided to give the cpap a break and slept without it. I think that I have a few issues, like gassiness, nasal congestion, some throat irritation, also yesterday a bit of an earache. And I'm realizing they're all likely side effects from the cpap, but t...

Re: Feeling worse after a week on cpap
John, have you checked with your doctor about that? It seems like using the machine should make you feel better. Julie, thanks. I had the humidifier down to 1.5 and that was okay at first, but for some reason, after a few nights, I suddenly started getting an ice-cold nose. I got a lot of good help ...

Re: Feeling worse after a week on cpap
Okay, I tried using the snipping tool and then photobucket. Couldn't get it to work, finally occurred to me to use good old-fashioned cutting and pasting: Details Most Recent Last 7 Days Last 30 Days Last 6 months Last Year AHI 0.44 0.65 0.76 0.76 0.76 Hours per Night 09:10 07:16 06:53 06:53 06:53 A...

Re: Feeling worse after a week on cpap
Okay, sorry but I have no idea how you guys are all uploading this data. I did download Sleepyhead. I used to be computer literate. How do I upload the data? And which data should I upload? It does say my AHI is 0.76, which sounds pretty good to me, based on what little I know. It was 22 without cpa...

Re: Feeling worse after a week on cpap
Thanks, Brenda. That was fast! I don't know how to upload the reports - or even understand much of them for that matter. But I will go upstairs to get my SD card so I can get the latest Sleepyhead stats. I know my pressure last I checked was at about 9 most days, but I don't really know what that me...

Feeling worse after a week on cpap
Hi everyone, I hate to bother you all yet again, but I'm actually feeling worse after a week on cpap. I've been adjusting really well. A couple of nights where I had problems and took the mask off. But I think I've had five full nights of cpap. I don't think I even woke up last night. I always wake ...

Re: What are differences between Nasal Masks Nasal Pillows?
I'm supposed to get a new mask every 3 months. I like my nasal mask, even after just a week of use. But I do have sensitive skin, so I might try a nasal pillow next time. I'm thinking that after 3 months, I could probably still use my nasal mask if I don't like the nasal pillow. Are they really in s...

Re: Bruxism night guard
Thanks, Kitatonic. I hate having to do that, but you're right. I should let her know that it's not comfortable.
