Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
There was some hard water deposit in the CPAP when I was using it near the humidifier. I opened my CPAP box and clean the inside and the motor, though I didn't clean the pressure sensor. I'll try to clean the sensor at the next opportunity. I got my CPAP running again. Usually every time the CPAP st...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
Changing the pressure sensor will most likely require re-calibration of the device. I'm curious if the program inside the chip would have to be re-adjust when the sensor is replace. Do we have any expert in this forum? Anybody know how to adjust the time on the device with the adapter? I got the dat...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
Sludge, the first picture, the PCA was on top of the cpap cover, which is on top of carpet. Probably you are thinking about the static from the carpet. The adapter you showed, is this just a straight connection from PCA board to serial, or is there electronic board inside? If this is just straight c...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
Thank for for the information and how to read the error code on this device. Your are correct. The CPAP machine can operate fine even the date/time is not set, but the data would have a wrong date/time stamp on it. Currently I got the CPAP running again, don't know how long this will last. I would l...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
Thank you very much for looking into the error code. what did you use to look-up the error code? and how I can get one? I worked with few electronics in the past, and usually things with sensors would give a lot of problems. That's why I was guessing that it would be the sensor. My guess the sensor ...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
I copied the data on the day it was having problem. Can anyone suggest what problem is on the machine or how do I find out? The data can be seen here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/32hbeutp5k8dpl8/cpap-data.zip . In the data you will see files with date 1/1/2098. This is because I pull the internal batt...

Re: My friend died... and it could have been prevented
I'm sorry about your loss. I had similar experience. It was my father, it has been 10 years now. My mom said my dad always snored really loud when he slept. And on that very early morning he snored very loud. He passed away while asleep. He lived in a developing world where sleep study/CPAP is not k...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
Hi all, thank you for posting your thoughts. I tried to set my device to with/without C-flex. I know that it is not due to leak because as soon as I turn on the blower it started giving that service required message, and on one of the morning I was awake when it shut itself down (giving short beepin...

Re: Broken CPAP - Internal parts
The machine didn't overheat. I'm thinking the unplugging is like a reset, I wish there was a reset button. I'm not in electronics, but I can take things apart and put them back again. The bottom assembly is the fan compartment, and the top is the electronics (brain). I contacted acbio, and the repai...

Re: SleepWeaver Advance (used 2 hours) giveaway
Hi,
My CPAP machine has been having problem intermittently. It is a 2010 machine Respironics HS550. Occasionally it shuts off at 3 or 4 am. If anyone is donating their CPAP machine, I would really appreciate this, or if you are selling it for very low price, please let let me know.
Thank you.
