Re: A rough but encouraging first night

in terms of mask adjustments while you sleep, you will get to the point where you are doing it without even thinking about it.

Ive only been on my machine for a month, and i can do adjustments without really waking up. and as a stomach cpap sleeper, i make adjustments every night.

Re: Newbie struggling with mask

steve, It might be that your mask is not right for you. What mask are you using? I have found that the gel masks work better for me. i routinely see pressures in the 16-20 range, and i found the silicone masks have a shorter cushion and i couldnt get it tight enough without hurting. the gels seem to...

Re: Awful night last night..need encouragement :)

i got my machine 3 weeks ago. I am fully committed to it (untreated AHI was 120 with an oxygen drop to 48%...) While i began treatment our company announced they were closing doors, i was being laid off etc. Stress and anxiety went through the roof. What i found helped a lot was music. Put music on ...

Re: Gel vs Silicone?

i have both gel and silicone masks,

due to my pressure being so high (95% is 19. i find that the gel is more comfortable since i have to really crank the mask tight to my face to get rid of leaks. i find the silicone masks bottom out

Re: Sleep Apnea and Memory

I wish i could say that my memory isnt affected.. I am a mechanical engineer, i consider myself to be fairly successful thus far (at 27). However, my short term memory is garbage. I am the post-it king. and even then i still cant get it right all the time. Between post-its and calendar reminders, i ...

Re: New hose head here

As a midday update, been at wo...

Re: New hose head here

i should say, even though i woke up several times in the night, for the first time in probably 2 years, i didnt need to go to the bathroom.... consider that a success right away. I also was half conscious of the dog all night, he is a well trained german shepherd, but everytime he walked to that sid...

New hose head here

So i have been lurking in the dark here as I anxiously awaited my new machine. 27 year old male here. overweight (blah blah blah). until VERY recently, I had lacked any daytime drowsiness, and even recently it was only when sitting at my windowless cube, bored out of my mind that i had problems. but...
