Re: Solution to Qauttro FX FF mask riding up into eyes. Chk NEW?
While looking at the liner you made I noticed your mask bottom appears to fit in the groove between your lip and chin. Mine sits just where the chin begins. I noticed with my quattro fx ff mask FOR HER the top strap that runs over the head seems a little too tight so I'm always streching it to be a...

Re: Foods to help sleep Quality? Any thoughts?
simplyme, I would consider discontinuing the melatonin, since you say your sleep quality isn't great. After a few weeks, you could reassess and see if things have improved. It seems that melatonin disturbs sleep architecture for as many people as it helps. I have stopped using the melatonin and tha...

In my parent's house I always thought under the basement stairs would be safe, UNTIL A STEP BROKE WHEN I WAS WALKING DOWN THEM, In a 150 year old house the basements probably not the best place after all… but I guess if it is a choice between rooms with windows and a basement, the basement wins.

Re: Foods to help sleep Quality? Any thoughts?
I have found half cup of hops tea helpful about 1/2 hour before I go to bed. You have to steep for about 40 minutes. I usually make a 2 cup batch with the loose hops in one of those metallic strainer tea balls and store the excess in the refrigerator. When I run out and I am too lazy to make the te...

Hello, and welcome. I too wouldn't bother putting the water in the refrigerator, just keep the lid on and don't drink out of the bottle that is the only way bacteria would be introduce. I do recommend you use the distilled water whenever possible because tap water will cause more buildup of minerals...

Re: This sounds false
…(if the doctor indeed said this) Very astute qualification, to be fair. Note that the message comes through the poster's friend's cousin's doctor. None of us know whether or not the doctor said this. Just as we have doctors that don't listen, we also have patients that don't listen or "hear what t...

Re: Foods to help sleep Quality? Any thoughts?
Thanks Todzo, Good advice, I hadn't thought to see if medicare would cover any visits with a dietitian. But even if not I should see if it would be something I could afford. I have been looking into finding more food choices that are both local and less proccessed, it is not always easy to afford, y...

Thanks guys, good suggestions, The banana one sounds really promising lol very extensive study! Although I have heard banana can help lower blood pressure, who knows it could be a cure all. Carbs before bed sounds like it helps to reduce wakefuleness from feeling hungry too. The melatonin causing pr...

At 62 I freez that is what it gets down to in my place in the winter. And that is with a room heater and the building's forced air heat. Love old houses with no insulation

The other night I actualy wished I could air condition cpap!
We had a couple of hot nights recently and living on the second floor with windows to the hot afternoon sun and an old not well insulated house makes my place crazy hot! The air was so stifling hot that I wished my vpap had an air conditioner on it! It has a humidifyer, so they should make an ac uni...

Re: Foods to help sleep Quality? Any thoughts?
I read in a book (I forget the title) that carbs will tend to relax you while protein will keep you awake and I find that to be true for me generally. I'll have to look up to see if I can find out about the carbs. I wonder if it is all carbs? I'll post here if I find any info on that. Thanks for th...

Have you tried binaural beats? There are apps and you can get them free. I find on nights I listen to them I seem to have a little better quality in sleep Thanks for your advice, but personally am not interested in listening to binaural beats because of the belief many people have that they can aff...

Re: sleep apnea
Hi c.wooten, I agree with pugsy that humidity might help with your nasal stuffines, it seems to help me. Sometimes I just have my water tank filled even with no heat, when it is superwarm weather, and that has helped too. The best thing for me has been using a full face mask that allows me to breath...

Foods to help sleep Quality? Any thoughts?
Hi all, I have been doing pretty good with using my vpap, except I just don't feel like I have good quality sleep still. I do have to try to dial in my best settings to try to reduce AHI, but I think my issue is more about problems with how I sleep. I take melatonin, but really I am not sure it has ...
