Great News! Best string of nights yet

Hey, Just wanted to share with you all the great news of my progress. For the first few weeks my AHI had hovered around the 3.5-4 area and my mask leak rate had been flirting with 15 l. I am happy to report that my AHI has averaged around 1.6 or less the past few nights, with leaks being minimized t...

Re: Booorrrring! Another melatonin question...

I take 200mg of Zoloft and had the same experience while on Melatonin. I personally try to stay away from it since I had a similar experience. I would recommend avoiding it.

Re: ResMed Quattro FX FF

You can barely feel it...you are used to it...your AHI is low...your leaks are low...Why would you want to mess around with other masks. Most new users would love to have this experience. How much better can it get? That's the reason why I was asking. I knew my AHI was low, but I've read of others ...

ResMed Quattro FX FF

Is this a good mask? I have gotten used to it and can barely feel it on my face anymore. My AHI has consistently been around 3, and my leak is around 12m/l. I still have 3 weeks to try out different masks charge free with my provider. Any recommendations, or am I good where I'm at?

Re: Question about an older CPAP Machine

Wow, that's encouraging. Congratulations. Read up here about how to be sure she doesn't get screwed again with a non-data machine. There are some useful links in my signature line. Thank you so much! Believe it or not, the machine she ended up with was better than the initial one they gave her. The...

Re: Just Diagnosed with Sleep Apnea - Couple Questions

I am new as well, but I can testify to the S9 -- it is great! You can't go wrong with it. As far as masks go, usually they are very willing to work with you to let you try out as many as you want within a set period (mine is 30 days).

Re: Need Some Suggestions, Please!

Hello,

Maybe you could talk to your doctor about Ambien CR or Lunesta? I hope you can start feeling better.

Re: Question about an older CPAP Machine

You know if you are really worried about the state of her treatment and she lives nearby then you could swap machines with her for a night so you could see her data. If she does have the Plus model and you think she would benefit from a full data model....there are ways to get them without breaking...

Re: Question about an older CPAP Machine

That machine style is the M series machine. The M series machines came out around 2006 late or 2007. Replaced in late 2009 early 2010 with the PR System One machines. The picture you are showing is for the Plus model but there are other models in the M series line. The Plus model doesn't gather AHI...

Re: Sleep Debt Question

Pugsy,

I will definitely shoot for lower leak rates from here on out! I have slept an average of 7 hours each night since starting, and have slept through the night on all of them (with the exception of getting up to use the restroom once).

Re: Question about an older CPAP Machine

Thank you for your response. It is a few years old. It is much bigger than mine. If I had to take an educated guess, I say atleast 3-5 years old. I'm not sure if her insurance covers it or not, I'm pretty sure it covers atleast most of it, if not all of it. Unfortunately, I probably couldn't convinc...

Re: Surprising Correlation of Deep Sleep and Outside Temperature

My two cents: I think that's a reasonably reliable correlation. I love sleeping when it's cooler out than when it's warm.

Me too, definitely! I have got to make up as much lost time of the last 2+ years as I can!
