What are Least Noisy (when inhaling) nasal pillow masks Help
I'm trying to get used to using the Optilife nasal pillow mask. My machine is still finding my "ideal pressure" it's on the Autosetting for 30 days and then it will go to Auto check or something and stay at my most common pressure and then recheck every few days. Anyway, I have only been on this the...

Re: Best solutions for keeping mouth shut while sleeping?
I taped my mouth for about 2 months when I first started therapy. I just didn't want to go the full face route. After a couple of months I started to get lazy and didn't tape and found out that I wasn't mouth breathing much, if any, any more. So we can retrain the brain to not mouth breath all the ...

Best solutions for keeping mouth shut while sleeping?
Ok, so I tried it again last night. I changed my position to on my left side almost in a fetal position and it really helped me not swallow - so far so good. But I haven't bought a chin strap or fashioned anything decent yet, so I just grabbed a pair of tummy control panties - don't laugh - well, go...

Re: Best solutions for reducing aerophagia?
Did you read this http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/what-you-need-to-know-before-you-meet-your-dme-part-i/ I know you have already got your machine but you may need to shop for another DME. Wouldn't hurt to be a little better prepared. Your DME doesn't sound like he is willing to work very hard for ...

Re: Best solutions for reducing aerophagia?
Should I ask for an autopap or bipap? It depends on your pressure needs and just how bad the aerophagia is. What pressure is being used? Hey, all. Thank you so much for all your replies!!! Makes me feel like I"m not so alone in figuring all this out. I do have insurance, it is CIGNA. I did call my ...

Re: Best solutions for reducing aerophagia?
Do you have c-flex, a-flex, or EPR? These reduce the pressure that you breathe out against and helped me with the pain. I don't know. I know it is a straight CPAP machine. I looked at it and it just says its Phillips Respironics Remstar. Take out the water tank from the humidifier. Then look on the...

Best place to get your CPAP machine and mask in Dalton area
Hi, I'm brand new to this site and have just been diagnosed with severe apnea. Unfortunately, I am a mouth breather so they recommended the full face mask, I had alot of trouble with it during the sleep study, but I saw where others try to use nasal mask and tape the mouth. My questions: Where is th...
