Re: Cymbalta discontinuation re-triggered my apnea?
You sound better today! I'm curious how you were able to get the Cymbalta Rx refilled, any prescription I get is for one year max. I would have never been able to keep renewing if a doctor didn't ok it. I still had my pills from when I had weaned last (ending on 9/1/19). Sounds like you have an ama...

Re: Cymbalta discontinuation re-triggered my apnea?
Thanks everyone! I'm in a rough situation because: a) As of now, I have no sleep doctor. The last time I saw my sleep doc was more than 5 years ago, so they won't talk to me without a referral from my primary. My primary has submitted a referral through their referral department, and after a hour on...

Re: Cymbalta discontinuation re-triggered my apnea?
Hi - did you go off the med with your MD, or on your own? It can take quite a while to do it properly without consequences and I think you should talk to him/her re this but be careful (unless he's a real 'sleep' doctor as well) about asking for Cpap advice at the same time as they may be tempted t...

O2Ring oximeter?
Does anyone use a wearable oximeter to monitor their oxygen? It's going to be some time before I can get hooked up with sleep doctor and develop a plan. In the meantime, I want to get an idea of how bad things are. I'm considering a Wellue O2Ring or something similar.

Cymbalta discontinuation re-triggered my apnea?
I described my situation in a thread http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t178037/How-to-best-get-help.html?start=15 . One detail I didn't mention was that I completed a gradual wean off Cymbalta on 9/1/19. Since then, I have been questioning my decision due to increasing depression and some anxiety. I...

Re: How to best get help?
Transition apneas are common and nothing to worry about. It feels so horrible. I feel so tired, and I just want to sleep. But every time I close my eyes and just start to drift off, it happens. When I was last experimenting with ASV/CPAP devices, my "transition apneas" (thanks for the term - I hone...

Re: How to best get help?
Found an older Windows notebook, installed Oscar. Here are the results from my VPAP Adapt 36007 and S9 Autoset.
Note: not much data here. I was struggling with this device.
Thanks.
EDIT: Attempt to upload screenshots per suggestion.

Re: How to best get help?
I would suggest starting all over with a new doctor. First doctor did not help so don't go back. Boston should have some excellent choices - Sleep/Respiratory Centers or Specialists? I didn't Google it, but there are good hospitals in Boston, surely there are good doctors. I'd tell them your histor...

How to best get help?
(Sorry for the many details on backstory. I promise there are questions below.) Back in 2012, one night when I tried to fall asleep, as soon as I would start to drift off, I would stop breathing and jerk awake. It came out of the blue (after weeks of some really strange abdominal discomfort - possib...

Re: mixed apnea and Lunesta?
I have gone through the "taming" steps and I do use a bandaid. I had been tolerating the mask the first couple of weeks i had it until I had a complete nose breakdown (blood, puss, scabbing, etc). Now, there is just general pain in that area. I have to use the size medium and crank that thing as tig...

mixed apnea and Lunesta?
I have mixed apnea, but mostly central. I have never taken any medicine before, but I was just given Lunesta to try by my sleep specialist. Here's my problem: my mask (the only one that I have right now that will fit) hurts my nose. So, by 1.5 to 2 hours into the night, I wake up in pain and have a ...

Re: ASV pressure reduction
re: "how did you sleep. how do you feel"... I had a very strange night. I recall sitting up, confused, at least 3 or 4 times. Also found the machine off (with my mask ON) that time. Also found my mask off at one point, but not sure how long I had been asleep like that. Anyway, it was very different....

ASV pressure reduction
I finally saw a sleep specialist and he reduced my pressure from 11 to 8 because I had been complaining of extreme aerophagia and fragmented sleep (possibly related to the device and/or aerophagia pain). Last night was my first night, and it was odd. Note that my only experience with ANY machine has...
