Re: ASV thread - what are normal values for these?

...what is the Pressure Pulse measurement, in this context? "One or more test pulses delivered by the device during an apnea to determine if the event is a clear airway apnea or an obstructed airway apnea." That said, perhaps the machine did not read the instructions: http://i186.photobucket.com/al...

Feel like making a sleep and food log?

Want to post that? Let's see what (if anything) is new.

Re: Post-Surgery Blues: Scoring Question

Given the subjectivity in scoring... Scoring is not subjective. Scorers must follow "Da Rules", which are objective criteria. Secondly, Stanford is known for their liberal scoring of SDB. Oh really? Who sez? I'm not expecting great answers here, but figured I'd at least check in, say hi, and hope t...

Similarly, the BiFlex waveforms are presented below, showing the easing off of pressure at end-inspiration and beginning exhalation at the different levels:

Re: Breathing rhythm tweak needed on PRS bipap

Your description of the dysynchrony is a little confusing to me, but this part: Often the machine starts into EPAP mode while I'm still inhaling (makes it feel like the air flow has stopped and I can't finish the inhale). indeed sounds like a Rise Time that is too slow. What is the Rise Time current...

Re: Pugsy et al: BiPap trial so far, what to make of it?

As I scroll through last night more close up I think I see what you were wondering about, that is, a lot of flow limitation that didn't get flagged. Would it be the case that the pressure won't increase if the flow limitation doesn't meet the flagging threshold? It would appear that the PR algorith...

By the way, I do great applaud many of the posts on this thread for being extremely supportive of Mozart. Well, after the way that boy unnecessarily bad-mouthed Dori and Zoo, I hope he appreciates the support that much more. Due to my brain fog, I don't remember that. But obviously, that is not a g...
