Re: Anyone have a Hurricane Dryer??

I did remove earlier posts about using a hair dryer, because that didn't work out. Among other things, the volatile compounds from the materials we used were too difficult to get rid of. So I use a Hurricane dryer now.

Re: Anyone have a Hurricane Dryer??

I have a Hurricane Dryer and I love it. I have read every conceivable argument against these devices. I find those arguments uninformed at best and bullfeathers at worst. So not interested in debating its value. However, after years of faithful use, mine stopped drying effectively and started making...

ResMed H5i Humidifier Failure Mode

The H5i humidifier is used with the ResMed S9 CPAP. When mine displayed a warning that the ClimateLine heated hose was faulty, I trusted the warning and discarded the hose. Actually, the H5i was the problem. If yours seems to be acting squirrelly, inspect the electrical port on the back of the humid...

Re: Major head cold

I too have had major head colds from my CPAP -- actually it's more like an allergy -- and I believe it was from insufficient heating of the airflow from the ResMed H5i humidifier and ClimateLine hose, especially with the seasonal drop in environmental temperature. So -- I tried to increase the tempe...

I would suspect a corrupted SD card, especially since you have been removing and replacing the card for SleepyHead. Try a different SD card.

Should you need it, the SD Card Association makes available on their website official free utilities for erasing SD cards.

Re: Nose getting plugged

Doesn't hurt to try Armpit Yoga. Well, doesn't hurt much. 1. Decide which nostril you want unplugged. 2. Get in a sleeping position on the opposite side of that nostril. 3. Use a round object -- a tennis ball or doggie ball -- or use your fist to press inside of the armpit on the opposite side of th...

Re: Next Generation of Machine Deisgn: PR S2's and Resmed S10's

I want something that looks like a Star Trek console or a piece of Borg technology or Star wars or Serenity! Yes, as that will keep hotel cleaning staff from touching it. Although some of the ideas originally floated for improved leafblowers seem far-out, I think this is a constructive discussion t...

Re: Next Generation of Machine Deisgn: PR S2's and Resmed S10's

A good quality surge device basically self-destructs rendering the downstream devices useless until replaced. Allen consider the Brick Wall surge protectors that work on a different principle and do not self-destruct. That's what I use with my CPAP. Not a commercial, just a satisfied user. http://w...

Re: Has anyone used this product?
I'm assuming this product is meant to keep air from exiting the mouth
It is almost certainly a tongue retaining device, which uses suction to keep the tongue pulled forward so that it doesn't fall back and block the airway. The Aveo is another such device, with different design....
