Re: Full Face Masks
Thanks Sheriff Buford for your explanation of Hybrid masks. Nate S - thank you for your suggestion of good chin straps and I've noted Denial Dave's caution on the use of chin straps. Avi, thanks for explaining that double flaps on the full face masks make for a better seal, I've added this feature t...

Re: Full Face Masks
Thank you caffeinatedcfo. I'll have a look at the TAP PAP nasal pillow mask with a chin strap. Also thanks Enghelp for encouraging me to try the chin strap first before buying into the full mask. I'll add the Quattro to my short list is I decide to go with the full mask. And lastly, thank you Magste...

Re: Full Face Masks
Thank you all. Avi, the problem with trying several masks is that I don't think there is anywhere I can go in Tasmania, Australia to do this. Thank you sleeping soundly, I've considered the chin strap, haven't considered taping my mouth (that's a bit weird!!!). A lot of the time when I turn in my sl...

Full Face Masks
Hi there, APAP community . I've been using a nasal mask but my partner now says that sometimes I open my mouth during the night , so I'm going to try a full face mask . I've read the previous comments members have written and it appears that many members prefer either the Mirage Quattro (not air) or...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
I Newbie, I'm from Aussie, and, like you, was amazed at the support I received through the CPAP community. I only had the sleep test because my partner said I was gasping for breath when asleep. I've been using the machine and mask for about 6 months now and, like you, haven't noticed much differenc...

Re: $30,000 for outpatient procedure!!!! UNBELIEVABLE
Yep, Aussies have Medicare. And, anyway, WHAT'S WRONG WITH VEGEMITE!!!! I concur with others thoughts about not wanting to live too long. To be in a old folks home and have to have someone wipe my bottom and feed me baby food is not my idea of living.

Re: $30,000 for outpatient procedure!!!! UNBELIEVABLE
Hello all, Nubbie user here, just joined and have been looking through the posts. I have the solution - come to Australia. I'm sure we don't have the world's best health insurance system but it's got to be more affordable than the US. Hospital treatment is free in public hospitals (long waiting list...

Re: New Aussie user
Hello all you lovely people. Second wind were so easy to deal with that I've decided to purchase from them. So, my first machine will be a DS500 Remstar Auto Cflex with heated humidifier ($425.00) and a Resmed Swift FX nasal mask . I haven't finalized the purchase yet, but will do so within the next...
