Re: Oracle2 oral mask First Night Post Mortem
Great to see you have a good first night with the Oracle. It can only get better from here as you get accustomed to the mask and bring down Nose leaks.

Re: What setting do I use for an Oracle 452?
Hi! I am a user of the Oracle 452 mask. Although I can't advise on the settings on the S9, since I use a resprionics machine. I can however share my experience with the Mask. I would say the Oracle 452 has a larger learning curve than other masks, since it involves only Mouth Breathing. So you can g...

Re: How long should a mask last.
I am interested in knowing how long do Oracle 452 masks usually last. My first one is around the 3 month mark, and looks like it needs replacement.

Do you block your nose to eliminate the leak there? You probably do not as is manifested ...

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
So the short version to all this...AHI watching mainly for validation that we have optimal therapy on paper and thus no obvious explanation as to something screaming "fix me" so that we feel better. The goal is to feel better, sleep better, not stress the body with a gazillion adrenaline bursts fro...

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
Yup looked at your report as well. So the goal is to have low AHI nights on a more consistent basis than the High AHI night, which can occur randomly due to alien interference

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
Here is the chart from last night. I remember waking up twice, but still AHI came down a little to 8.7 Looking better...AHI numbers would be better if we had the CA index out of that AHI. It would be under 5.0 then. If you look at the grouping of CAs...one at the first sleep onset and the second cl...

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
Pugsy, have a good time off Yes its starting to make sense now on how you decided the approach. I really appreciate you taking the time to write detailed explanations, as it will down the road help me tweak based on my reports etc on my own. I will update this thread with tonight's results, and reac...

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
Well at least the clear airway (central) events decreased. I forgot your PS has a minimum and maximum. That's new to the 60 series. Interested that it seems to allow the PS to stay fixed now...when you have minimum equal to maximum. My machine doesn't offer that choice..and thus my PS will roam bet...

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
Hi Pugsy, I tried out the settings last night and had a decent night. My AHI was around 9.1 with very few centrals. Just a quick note, In the setup menu, when I went to set PS support as 4, it had two options Min PS and Max PS, I set both to 4, but am not sure if that's what you meant. EPAP was 15, ...

Thanks Pugsy!!
I am definitely up for trying different things. I will try with Epap 15, Ipap Max 20 and Ps of 4 tonight and keep you updated on how it went. I sort of get the logic of what you said . Good night for now.

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
If you are arrested for changing your pressure, just invoke your 5th Amendment rights! Also, when you hear the police banging on your door, flush your Clinician's Manual! OK, just a little levity. Seriously, depending on who your doctor is, you could alienate them and they might not want to work wi...

Re: Is changing cpap/bipap pressure yourself illegal?
Wow, some ugly reports. I see at least one break in therapy on both reports...so at least one time where you turned the machine off and then back on again. How many times do you normally remember waking up? Do you spend a lot of time laying in bed with the machine and mask on? Finally...did you hav...
