Re: Who In The Forum Is Diabetic ???
I have to say Diabetes education in the US is pretty piss poor. I have been to one hour long class and an hour long session with an Educator in addition to my first 45 minute long first visit. My A1C went from 7.6 to 5.7 because of this education and I started daily injections of Victoza. I wish I ...

Re: the truth about AHI
the point is that even if you cant measure it RDI is the important number not AHI LMAO. If you can't measure it, how can it be important? What we can do in this forum is work to get our AHI low, address comorbidities and use good sleep hygiene/lifestyle. If our Epworth Sleepiness Scale score is sti...

Re: Improving Brain Function
coconut oil isn't the savior of mankind or its destroyer. perhaps if you call it MCT medium chain triglycerides/fatty acids it may help. anyone thinking fat clogs arteries, needs to read more. the data from the 70's wasn't right. But the grain and sugar industry loved it. the evidence is that a hig...

Re: Improving Brain Function
the scientific consensus is that coconut oil will clog arteries and does nothing good for brain health.[ quote] This is correct. There is no reason for anyone to use coconut oil. That reference is good where the guy says coconut oil is junk food. Wikipedia has lots of references about the harmful e...

Re: mayo clinic on CSA vs others
tell us all again how well your "expertise" has treated your apena.... AHI under 1.0? sleeping all night? well rested? no psychotic episodes? He's still working on getting that ASV...my guess is it will be a very, very, very long wait. After a three-month absence, I finally got back to do some read...

Re: Brain recovery tips Your own list
Hi! I think I had Severe apnea for a while, and studies show that it causes quite a bit of brain loss and damage, so I've decided to help my brain heal, I am taking some supplements that seem to help, specifically they contain a lot of anti-alzheimers drugs that also help with brain regrowth, ADHD ...

Re: Back into the fray?
I delved into it quite deeply at the time. With expert (not just in formal qualifications, but practical know-how also) help from many. Color me skeptical. After using CPAP for a long time, I have not found anything comparable to the good help at cpaptalk.com. Not even when my sleep doc and his RT ...

30 minutes on a StairMaster - I can do it with my back and leg issues because bent over, no pain. Cby, That concerns me. I was taught to stand nearly erect with tummy tucked in. I no longer use a step machine, but I do hike a lot of mountains at all levels of grade. It's the same - when going up a ...

Does Thomas Gallagher Have Sleep Apnea? He certainly might. I am sure you read that he drove straight into the station without slowing - signs of being asleep at the controls. For the U.S., I can't see the future to know what CPAP after-the-sale service looks like then. But, I can 100% sure tell you it will not be skilled professionals working one-on-one with patients.
