Re: Should I ask for a sleeping pill before doing a new sleep st

I checked with sleep lab and I used half of .5 mg Xanax just so I would relax . I don't like the stuff but it works for me, they noted it on my file and I slept well. The person in the other room was snoring so loud that it would have been a problem otherwise . The dosage was my choice , I have a ru...

Re: Can you get shocked while sleeping on CPAP

Not really a cause for concern. I live in the lightning capital of the world --tampabay. We have the most and the baddest of them all. Furthermore I worked in electrical protection for florida power for 40 years. Repaired a lot of damage and had a lot of close calls . Electrical manufactures bring t...

Re: Climateline Hose and Dry Mouth

Close your heat vents in your bedroom , keep your door closed. That will make a big difference in your temp/humidity problem . Practice holding your tongue to the roof of your mouth during the day and it will become a good habit to spill over into the night, it worked for me. Sleep doctors prefer yo...

Re: Where/How to Sell a C-Pap Machine

You need to get the number off the bottom of the machine like ds560 .List the number of hours on the machine just like the miles on a car , the overall condition , a picture of it and all that goes with it, bag, manuals , humidifier etc. . Smoker free or not . Go to secondwind site and see similar m...

Re: Nighttime eating... Am I alone?

My friend who also has diabetes had this trouble and the nutritionist told him to eat a graham cracker with peanut butter before bedtime to get him thru the night and level out out his blood sugar . I guess this takes awhile to digest so it takes the low spike out during the night. It worked for him...

Re: To all the veteran PAP users out there...

Wow ,I wish my area had an org like awake to get thru the first few months . It is so confusing to find the right path. In my area you don't get to see the sleep doctor and you have to watch out for sleep clinics that send you to their DME. Not much access to an RT either. Even tho my prescription c...

Re: How many hours a night do you sleep poll

After reading about different sleep cycles in different countries it makes me feel better that I don't have to fit a a mold . In the USA we think its abnormal to get less than 8 hours of continuous sleep . We need to accept different rhythms that fit our life style ,being retired is one of them . A ...

Iinteresting article on not needing 7-10 hours sleep

http://www.vegfriend.com/forum/topics/a ... not-needed

The siesta is very common ,we all tend to think everyone should be on the same sleep cycle 10 pm to 6 am . Maybe we should be more accepting of different cycles .

Jz has generously offered this machine to a senior citizen with a worn out machine of 15 years. He doesn't have insurance, can not afford a sleep study , has been terrified his old machine will quit at anytime. He is a struggling potter who works from home without any assistance, self sufficient , an...

What brightness on the kelvin scale is best? Does the blue in it contribute to apneas. What is Kelvin ? What happened To Lumens did she retire? If LEDS are so cool how come it says 6000k -- Temperature right? Do the new lamps make noise that can keep us awake?
