Re: Still terrified (of getting started)
CPAP's are not nearly as intimidating in reality as they are in anticipation. Don't let them scare you into inaction. You have lots of time to learn about how to view and interpret the data, the most important thing is that you do get started with the therapy. Voice your concerns with the respirator...

Re: WOW! MY DME IS A CROOKED LYING SACK OF SH*#!!!
Ok wondering if anyone her has had a experience like this. My DME is Lincare, I'm sure others of you have some heartfelt terms of endearment for them but my whole experience started in December of 2012. I had my sleep study done in November of 2012 and my doctor sent there prescription to my DME th...

Re: Resmed is refusing to fix my broken auto-pap machine
I'm coming into this one a bit late. I just got an S9 auto today so that's why this caught my eye. I'm curious, when you say you sent the thing back, did you send the entire unit (blower and humidifier) or just the humidifier portion? Is it possible that the two were not fully connected? This proble...

Re: OT - Drugs for Migraines (Starlette)
I'm surprised to hear about that side effect from the fiorinal. That's the first I've heard of. My pain management specialist chose this because it was so mild. My pulmonologist is talking with my pain doc, so we're good there. Fiorinal does come without the codeine too.... Good luck!

Re: YEEHHAA
I've been using the nasal pillows for about 15 years now. My upper lip caterpillar interferes with most masks, but I've been quite satisfied with the breeze system overall. Working on towboats means I have to adapt my hose arrangement for each different boat I work on, so the over-the-head arrangeme...

Re: OT - Drugs for Migraines (Starlette)
I don't have migraines, but I did get frequent tension headaches that were horrendous. For those not familiar with them, tension headaches share many of the symptoms, but the pain is balanced on both sides of the head rather than predominantly one side. My doctor has me using a daily fiorinal 3 with...

Re: OT: Asked if I had a gun in my home during physical.
They sometimes combine those questions with questions about depression or abusive behavior spaced out over the "interview". I usually just smile and say nothing or wave them off. If they persist I ask them what medical condition is affected by gun ownership or smoke detector placement. I told one ob...

Re: New to this site.....
I would be interested in hearing about the S9 without the 'paid endorsements' attached. I find that offensive for some reason No offense intended. I was referring to the pamphlets and bulletins put out by manufacturers and reviewers who make money off their reviews and opinions. Rather I'm interest...

New to this site.....
Greetings to all...... Looking forward to getting acquainted with the board and the users. Just out of curiousity, does anyone else have problems with DME providers trying to keep them on a leash? I'm getting real tired of hearing "You don't need to have access to that feature" or "You don't need to...
