Re: Newbie - Mask making weird noise
Speaking about the F20 ResMed mask: My replacement recently had a different type of elbow from the prior one. I had significant problems with the new elbow. Tons of aerophagia and waking up every 1/2 hr to 1 hr. Fortunately had the old elbow still available. Switched back to the old elbow, big drop ...

Re: Cmparison ASV: Phillips VS Resmed
For what it's worth, (never used a Resperonics ASV machine), I've been using the VPap / Adapt for 6 years now. Working well for me. Saw my sleep doctor last Oct(?), he put down that I didn't need to see him for 3 more years for insurance purposes. The only major thing needed for the machine was repl...

Re: AirFit 20 full face
Make sure you're using the correct size mask. When I used the quattro, it was size small. Now I use the Air Fir F20 . size medium. No red marks or problems at the bridge of my nose. Only issue is strap marks. Had those also with the quattro. The marks from the F20 are no better or worse then the one...

Re: Forced by job to get testing and CPAP I don't need..
I for one don't think you're whining. You received a shock from your employer for something you don't feel you need. It's okay to vent. However, venting time is over and you need to do everything possible to get good sleep results. Pugsy has good advice for you. Employers hold the cards so better to...

Re: xxyzx and Morbius Spam Buttons Removed
My prediction is that xxyzx will not go away, he will just make wilder and wilder claims until some cannot take it, responds, and he will take that opportunity to blast not only the responder but also everyone on his "list". Mental illness is like that. That would be my prediction also. Even if a p...

Re: F20 Complete Mask found online
I'm amazed at the lower prices people are quoting. $99 seems almost to expensive now. Thanks for your replies.

F20 Complete Mask found online
The pricing seems almost too good to be true. I was looking online for Cpap supplies and came across the Resmed F20 Size Med for $99.00. Supposed to be complete mask including headgear and not used. Anyone have experience buying this mask for that price? I'm naturally suspicious by nature. The cheap...

Re: Nasal Congestion --- Sinusitis and Nasal Polyps
I have a deviated septum - L side - self diagnosed. Frequently, one or both nostrils will stuff up, unstuffed for awhile and then stuff up again. I'm using the Quattro F-10. Since I mouth breathe, a nasal mask doesn't work for me. Been using the full-face mask for going on 5 years. I've finally acce...

Re: Mouth taping - moisture build up and persistent leaks
I gave up on nasal cushions after a serious trial. Tried taping, chin straps, etc. No luck. It finally dawned on me what was going on. Apparently my nasal passages close up spontaneously one at a time or both. Lasts for awhile. Passages reopen for awhile only to close up again. I figure I'm definite...

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III. Maybe he will be fair. Past record usually says a lot about a person. I don't know why but I picture his face looking like a Cheshire Cat, with a slow twitch of the tail, waiting.

Vpap Adapt out for repair
I brought my ResMed Vpap Adapt (S9) in for repair last week. The problem is that it was making a whining noise on inhale/exhale. The noise got progressively worse as time wore on. I took the machine back to the original DME and they said they would send it back to ResMed. I had to pay a $25.00 shipp...

Re: stupid question about distilled water
I've been using distilled water since I started on cpap about 3 years ago No issues or problems with it. I don't refill with fresh water every night. Only when level gets low plus once in awhile I run the tap water into the tank, swish, drain and refill with fresh distilled water. As time goes by, I...

Re: Is there a thin full face mask?
I have to say that the man they used as the model in the picture of the cpap pillow looks like the man on the pillow I bought from Amazon. It was so long ago. However, that pillow was way too high for me in the neck area. Very uncomfortable. I was able to return it for a refund. Neck height of pillo...

Re: Frustration with primary care doc. Anyone else?
My primary doctor, who basically is good, sometimes dismisses things I mention. For instance, last time I was in, horrible pain in left knee, the nurse weighed me on a digital scale. She must have transposed a number and added 10 pds to my weight. When I tried to tell him that it was wrong, he told ...
