PAPhead going on hiking/camping trip this week

Will not have access to CPAP machine for first time in a year and a half. What should I do? I will be sleeping in a tent and I am afraid of what I may feel like after sleeping without it a few nights. Anyone have any thoughts or tips on having to go without their CPAP machine?

Tales from the DME - Aerocare

You can't make this stuff up.. So, I go to Aerocare in Phoenix to get the FX Nano mask, because I was curious if it was better than the pillow. The person there helping said, "Oh, you're in luck! The sales rep just left us this one and it's free!!" I walk out with a receipt showing I paid over $150 ...

Quality of sleep - how often do you clean?

Does anyone notice that not cleaning the machine for a few days to a week makes a difference in their sleep? Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems like I'm more groggy I'd I don't clean my machine at least once every three days or so.

Thoughts?

Re: 3 NIGHTS ON THE CPAP

Stick with it. I've been on it since Dec. 28th. Best thing I've ever done. Can't imagine going to sleep without it. Feel much more awake toward the end of my work day and feel much healthier.

Re: Size of nasal pillows

Great question. I didn't record when I changed from Med to Lg the first time, but I changed last night and will record the difference from here on out.

Size of nasal pillows

Does the size of the nasal pillow affect the pressure? I have been going from medium to large and it seems as though I can breathe much better with the large, but my AHI is higher when I wear them. Anyone else have this issue?

Nasal pillow tip

For the longest time I thought I was a medium in the nasal pillow. I think this was because my DME told me I was when I first got my mask about 2 months ago. I sure wish I had tried the large pillows when I first started, as I struggled quite a bit with the mediums and didn't realize there was that ...

Funny Nightmare

Last night I had a nightmare of epic proportions that I want to tell you about. I dreamed I was at my doctors office for a follow up to my first month of CPAP. I began to tell the doc how awesome I felt and that I had been offered 4 different jobs since starting treatment (all true). Everything was ...

3 weeks in and really notice a difference

I was disappointed after the first few nights when I slept 7 hours initially on the machine and still felt groggy. Now, I am feeling like a champ and sleeping around 4-6.5 hours a night on the s9. I wish I could sleep more but I continue to wake up around 5 every morning and have a problem with the ...

Re: Swift LT users, headgear position

The LT tends to bother the top crease of my ears if it isn't fitted correctly. I also have to play around the with fit of the nasal pillows so it's just right, but when it's just right it's awesome.

Re: How many of you used to have eye migraines prior to xPAP?

I used to get ocular migraines three or four times a month or so. It's really the reason I began pursuing an sleep study and I'm glad I did! So far, two weeks with the cpap and I haven't had one yet (knock on Mahogany).
