Thanks Pugsy, I just changed to the 960 in my profile, and now it's showing up. Close enough.
JDS74 - I misread before, thought your mask was a FF, thanks for the clarification.

Re: Different AHI with ASV machine and different masks?
Thanks JohnB, that explanation does kind of make sense. I certainly can't think of anything else. I might try the chinstrap tonight and see what it does, although the comment by JDS74 about what happened to him with a full face and a chin strap worries me a bit. Only one way to find out I guess. On ...

Re: Different AHI with different masks
I'm also an ASV user and my pressure hits the max of 25 pretty often. No matter which mask I use I have to have it pretty tight. I think I'm seeing something pretty similar to what you are. I switch between a Quattro FX nasal and Mirage Quattro full face. I get a consistent 1-3 AHI with the nasal ma...

Different AHI with ASV machine and different masks?
I normally use a nasal mask, a chin strap and an ace bandage to cover my mouth, like this: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t53666/Controlling-mouth-leaks-wo-tape-or-glue.html That's been working ok for a long time, but, recently I've had a huge problem with nasal congestion. I've tried raising the...

Re: How does CPAP work? Doesn't make sense
yeah, right, he's engineer. He's so busy engineering he can't be bothered to see what his pressure is, or to look at his data. Dude, no one likes this therapy. To be honest, it's kind of medieval, but that's what we have. You can't honestly think after the countless patients that use/have used this,...

Re: Air blowing out of mouth when pressure ramps up
I'm also an ASV user, I had the same issue a while back. When my pressure would get really high the air would kind of putter out of the corner of my closed my mouth. This is what worked for me: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t53666/Controlling-mouth-leaks-wo-tape-or-glue.html I've been using that...

Re: ASV machine, different numbers with different masks?
Last night I tried wearing a shirt I made months and months ago, with a ball stitched into the back, to keep me from sleeping supine. AHI was 2.5, a little bit high, but back in the normal range for me anyway.
Seems like that might be the answer. Thanks everyone.

Re: ASV machine, different numbers with different masks?
Headache is not going away at all, even now after being awake for 8 hours or so and countless tylenol and motrin. You might be on to something, position. For whatever reason, with the nasal mask I'm not able to sleep on my back, the mask leaks to much. With the full face I can, (well, kind of anyway...

Re: ASV machine, different numbers with different masks?
Good idea. I just edited the subject to include ASV and here's some screen shots and more info... The first screen cap is from a few nights ago, when using my nasal mask. It's pretty representative of what I normally get. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s279/tmatheos/ScreenHunter_03Jul191246_zps1...

Re: Different numbers with different masks?
Anyone?
Last night was the same thing, 6.7, killer headache this morning too. This time the events were pretty much spread throughout the night as opposed to being grouped together.

ASV machine, different numbers with different masks?
So, I've been using a Mirage FX nasal mask for around 4-5 months, but really started to hate it because I also have to wear a chin strap and and have something covering my mouth. Just getting to be to uncomfortable. My AHI has been good, usually anywhere between 1 and 3. A couple nights ago I decide...

Re: Next Generation of Machine Deisgn: PR S2's and Resmed S10's
This is possibly one of the most ridiculous things I've read here. Instead of asking these companies to spend time designing something that nobody really needs or would buy, how about asking them to work on better mask designs, or incorporating some ZEO like functionality into the machines. Oh yeah,...

Re: Questions about resmed vpap enhanced ASV settings
I have to chime in an agree with JohnBFisher. What he's saying is very good, sound advise. I was one of those guys constantly changing my ASV settings, every night, every other night etc. and could not figure out why I couldn't get dialed in. After finally listening and leaving things alone for a we...

Re: How did YOU Resolve Your Mouth-Leaks? (poll)
I'm using a PapCap and an Ace bandage, which works great for me. I found that with the chin strap alone I still occasionally putter air out of the corner of my mouth, which would then keep waking me up. The ace bandage takes care of that. I got the idea from this post a while back: http://www.cpapta...
