What a fool I've been. Of course, I have the answer:

You know you want one.

EYES! In the DARK! One moon circles.
Yeah, that actually kind of sounds like a description of my CPAP machine.

I don't see any mention of at-home care. Has nobody paid for a nice woman to visit at night to sanitize the unit and help strap you in at bedtime?

Re: Normal to need MORE sleep than usual when starting CPAP???

For me, I was actually happy to be sleeping more. Before, even when i wanted to sleep in, I couldn't. I couldn't get back to sleep. Or I would have a headache which would totally prevent me from sleeping any more. Now that I don't have these troubles, I've been able to sleep in like I haven't done i...

Re: Severe sleep apnea people, how did you survive before cpap?

I mentioned this in my introductory post. I was diagnosed as having severe sleep apnea. Before that, I was diagnosed with Adult Attention Deficit Disorder for YEARS. (Poor focus, reduced memory.) So I was taking 20mg of Ritalin, twice a day. When I totally lost concentration, mid-day naps helped. An...

Re: 12 events in 15 minutes!!

Just a curious question. So you're looking at the data. Pull up the leak graph. Did you have a significant mask leak around that time? I found that a new mask leak seemed to happen around the same time that I was getting event clusters during the night. You'd think the software would be more than ca...

Re: Has anyone tried a *wifi SD card* with their ResMed?

Don't have any idea why they don't have wireless built into these high-tech, computer-driven things these days. Trivial to do, and if it doesn't work due to some configuration problem or wireless isn't available, you always have the SD card for hard backup. The nice thing about NOT having wireless ...

Re: New member. Beats my old diagnosis of ADHD. Great forum!

The reason the DME is urging followup is that they don't get paid to supply the machine without you having a face to face doctor visit in the first 90 days (Medicare regulation). This will be interesting, I'm not under medicare. But I actually never met my doctor. My PCP referred me to a place whic...

Re: Has anyone tried a *wifi SD card* with their ResMed?

Transcend responded quickly! But it looks like this idea is a no-go: You can connect this card directly to any device that has an internet browser. However, even while using it in this alternate method, you can only transfer videos and photos. Other file types will not be detected. You can read thro...

Re: Has anyone tried a *wifi SD card* with their ResMed?

Ah. I did a search before posting, but I didn't have the magic keyword. I've send a message to Transcend to see if they card is equally restrictive or if it is more open than the EyeFi. http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Information-Wi-Fi-Memory-TS32GWSDHC10/dp/B00A659ILQ I'm hoping that this manufactu...

Re: Has anyone tried a *wifi SD card* with their ResMed?

Okay. I'm willing to spend the money so I'm not constantly plugging and unplugging cards. Let me send a quick email to the manufacturer to see if they have any insight about the file transfer process before I move forward.

Has anyone tried a *wifi SD card* with their ResMed?

I haven't used one of these devices before, a Wi-Fi enabled SD card... http://www.amazon.com/Eye-Fi-Connect-Wireless-Memory-EYE-FI-4CN-FF/dp/B0099HKNE8 ...they market them for cameras. But I'm wondering if anyone else has tried using them in order to pull the data from a resmed onto their PC over Wi...

Re: New member. Beats my old diagnosis of ADHD. Great forum!

I'll give it a few more nights to confirm, but it looks like I made some progress in using the machine. (Too bad I left my SD card in my PC last night!) Tiny drop in 95% pressure from 10.2 to 10 My 95% leak went from 7L/min to 3L/min My AHI/hr went from 4.5 to .4 So I cut my leak rate in half and my...

Re: New member. Beats my old diagnosis of ADHD. Great forum!

yeah, i don't want to change anything - i just want to see the data. So now the info screen will give you your AHI for the night as well as mask fit, in addition to the number of hours used. But you can get even more information if you want to go into the special menu each time: Go into the secret ...
