Re: Karen Moore w/Padacheek is awesome

I just tried Karen's Swift FX Barrel Cozy for the first time last night. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE IT MADE!!!!! I was fine with the Swift FX as it was but decided to try the barrel cozy. I'm so glad I did. It was a huge improvement in comfort. Very soft. I highly recommend giving it a try!!!

Thanks guys!
Quietmorning, That is exactly what I was worried about. I'm glad to know it still works when you're sick. Thanks

Re: Question about 60 day mask fit guarantee

Thank you Puggsy. I did ask Carl if I could go back to the first one if I didn't like the the next one. He said no, he sends it back. I better just stick with it. I do seem to knock it loose when I sleep on my side but its a quick fix so I'll just keep it. For the last 7 nights my AHI is 2.8 and lea...

Re: Question about 60 day mask fit guarantee

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, I do have the 60 day guarantee in writing. I thought it was very generous too! I will check out the other masks you mentioned on our hosts site. And I'll probably just wait about the pressure then. Thanks again

Question about 60 day mask fit guarantee

I am at 3 weeks with the swift fx for her. I don't have any problems but wonder if I should be trying other masks while I have the chance with the 60 day fit guarantee in case there is one that I would like better. Problem is I can't go back to the swift fx if I don't care for the new ones. Also, sh...

Re: Can you believe what the DME told me? A little humor..

I live in the same area as Puggsy and so was able to use the same DME she does. They are great! Even though the tech does not have apnea, he uses cpap on occasion to experience new masks and to be able to relate to our issues. He even "loaned" me a F&P Pilairo to try out. What a relief to get a good...

Re: 2 Weeks on APAP - So far so good!

Hi John, I was wondering the same thing. The interesting thing is the original script was cpap set at a pressure of 6. It was only after several phone calls and a hand delivered letter to my dr. that he prescribed APAP pressure 5 to 9. If I had settled for the cpap I might not have known I needed mo...

Re: 2 Weeks on APAP - So far so good!

Yes, I am still tired. I never have trouble falling asleep, but wake up at 4:00 or so and cannot go back to sleep. I took Ambien for two years and had a rough time getting off. I don't want do that again. I heard there is a time released melatonin available. I may try that.

2 Weeks on APAP - So far so good!

Hi, I'm a little over two weeks into APAP and I think I'm adjusting pretty well. The biggest difference I notice is that I am no longer up to use the restroom 4 or 5 times a night. That's Great! I was hoping that I would finally get 7 or 8 hours of sleep but no such luck. I still only get 5 most nig...

Re: Ferritin Levels and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)

Wow, I am having upper and lower GI testing tomorrow for this very symptom. My Ferritin Level is at 6 - very low. They are checking for possible bleeding in GI as the cause. I have been taking Hema-Plex with elemental iron for a few weeks. No RLS though. I was diagnosed with moderate apnea and am wa...

Thanks Puggsy! In reading the posts here I have seen people say: send a private message. How is that done?

Sleep study results

Hi, I posted as a guest a few weeks back under the name Maddistar but am registered now as jujubee. The letter I wrote to my Dr. requesting an APAP prescription was never received. Dr's nurse said to take it up with DME when they call to make my appt. That was 12/11. Still have not had a call from D...
