Re: CPAP Battery Knockoff?

Well that's a kicker isn't it? Customer isn't happy with product, explains that to vendor. Vendor gets passive-aggressive to the point they publish the entire email thread, which by the way is modified somewhat. Your emails to them, after the first one, are somewhat combative. 15% restocking fee is...

Re: CPAP Battery Knockoff?

Just got this from Tom Malloy: If the battery you send back is not absolutely exactly like it was shipped, and shows any signs of use by you whatsoever, it will be sent back to you. Any refund issued will be minus restocking fee and/or shipping charges as stated clearly in our return policy. As I em...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

Look at the first four digits of the serial number, eg: 2212= Made in Australia in the year 2012, 2211= Australian made in 2011, if the first 2 digits are 23 then it is made in Singapore Check your software, it should end in 905 The fact they got you to sign off as all OK suggests they are pulling ...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

Quick update, and thanks to everyone who responded and gave advice. I contacted Chuck the manager and in the email I sent, was very professional, laid no blame etc but wanted to give him the chance to "make it right." I was met with zero resistance after I wrote management an email, unlike Liz, perh...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

That is really unfortunate, I think we have the same DME. I have had nothing but good experiences with them, so to hear that they've been shady to someone else is disheartening. I thought I had found one of the good ones. The entire affair struck me as odd. My original Respironics machine looked a ...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

Do you have insurance? If so I'm sure they'd like to know about this if the DME is contracted with them. Yes, have great insurance, at least for the machine! My coverage is 80 percent, I pay the other 20 percent. They aren't contracted with my insurance that I know of. My insurance allows me to pic...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

Just pack up the machine and go to their office, tell them they can just stick it where the sun don't shine and make sure you TELL them you have made arrangements to go to another supplier...then see how fast they backtrack Once you have a new machine in hand ....change suppliers for all your regul...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

Well this is a extremely non-enjoyable start to my Saturday morning. Liz from NWMED.com was the on-call for the company today. She also was the person who set me up with the machine yesterday. I called her and told her that I found that the machine was used and had 290 hours on it. She went into def...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

I originally started using the respironics machine for 3 months which was the "rental try and buy" period. It started having problems so they told me I could try an s9. The conversation I had with the rep when I asked her at the appointment if the machine was used was like this. "Is this machine use...

Re: Sold a refurb s9

Just found this on this board http://s7.zetaboards.com/Apnea_Board/topic/8574885/1/ 1. Plug the machine in and (if necessary) hit any button to turn the screen back-light on so you can read the screen options (if it's not already on - the back-light goes off after a period of inactivity). 2. Simulta...

Sold a refurb s9

I was diagnosed last Summer with severe sleep apnea. I was given a Respironics machine. Had some problems with condensation and a loud wheezing noise when inhaling. Swapped it out today for a Resmed s9. Took the unit home, and it has a scratched screen (no factory plastic covering) the bag has some ...
