Re: Study: "CPAP machines do not reduce heart attack, strokes"
Actually, why is everyone still hung up on this travesty, fiasco, whatever? Why are you bumping it to the top of the page, Ms. 13,000 Posts. Wouldn't it be better to write the authors and give them hell? To ask the publishers why their standards are so low? Please post copies of the letters you hav...

Re: OSA and Cancer Link
your post is arrant nonsense, oncologically speaking. Or utter balderdash, if you prefer. All of his posts follow that pattern. I suspect pretty severe mental illness. Maybe he went too many years before seeking CPAP treatment? This tells you something else: DreamStalker wrote: I've spent the last ...

Re: 100% compliant to CPAP, still tired, can I do something ?
My family doctor still thinks that "a glass of wine per day is OK" <--- Is there some difference in belief between America and Europe ? You are not talking to medical professionals in this forum. You are talking to people who have little to no science background. You get stupid statements like this...

Re: In Praise of Whole Wheat and Other Whole Grains
The study is a cohort and does not address diabetics. There is nothing wrong with 3 servings of whole grains for someone who has normal blood glucose and who gets regular exercise. The question is how many total grams of carbs are they eating? Most Americans eat way more than than 150 grams per day...

Re: Super new...please tell me you get used to this
I still stand by my previous comment about some posters here being quite rude to others. Yes, it's the internet and I'm used to it but that doesn't make it right. People come here for help and advice, not to be treated poorly. As I understand it, this has been going on about as long as the forum ha...

Re: humidifier
CG - what a great list! I'll say Julie! I see these kind of answers all the time: Turn down the heat. I have a PR System 1 and a F&P 150 humidifier and I can dry out either humidifier if I run them at high and get a good 8 hours of sleep. Dropping the thermostat to say 3 out of 5 will reduce water ...

Re: proper tongue position
The idea that adults should have their tongue in a position such that three quarters of the tongue is resting in the roof of the mouth and the tip of the tongue is placed just behind the front teeth is one of the biggest bunches of malarkey that is repeated over and over in this forum. There is no ...

Re: Ovenyus/CSIRO 3D printed mouthpiece for sleep apnea
I would be willing to try anything to get rid of Cpap ! I am going to ask my dentist about it at my appt this week. She is specially trained as a sleep apnea dentist and I know she would try to get me one if they were available Me too! Babe, I will charter a cruise to take a load of us to Australia...

I don't live here and I have no plans to move in. It seems there are about a dozen of you that get your daily kicks here.
Enjoy.

Re: More Than One Way....
I am going to get a prescription for a new CPAP soon. A friend told me our doctor now prescribes machines with the modem. I am going to soak the modem in water for a day. The idea of having someone snoop on me doesn't sit well. Nah, just give it a tinfoil hat Don't give up your day job. You will ne...

Re: Long-term cancer, etc. risks of CPAP?
Now I must go down to the local senior citizens club seeing as we are all in our 'twilight years'. Despite the fact I'm only 4 years older than the OP So the OP is only 32 and he is already whining his head off? What the heck will he be like at my age? He claims to have been making a six-figure inc...

Re: Brick machine, no health insurance - what else can I DO?
Many people here have given you good advice about your situation. Either....... Go to secondwindcpap.com and look for a machine there. Craigslist is a good place as well to look for a machine. If you live in or near a large city, you will have better luck. Watch here for someone selling one. Talk t...
