New choices for Sleep Apnea?

I am seeing several new options that say they can replace a cpap machine. Wondered if anyone had any info on any of these from doctors or dentists you trust They are: My Snoring Solution - chin strap ASU Dental appliance from American Sleep Union I also saw a nasal only no machine appliance that was...

Re: Feeling Exhausted again and not sure why

Can anyone tell me how I can capture and post leak graphs here for Pugsy or others to take a look at? I export them from Sleepyhead into files but beyond that I don't know how to post them here. I am also fighting with neck, shoulder and upper chest pain (not cardiac related) I have had that checked...

Really tired lately - new smaller Mirage FX mask

I am confused about what to do next. I have been on CPAP for a year and two months. Recently I changed supply providers and they got me a Mirage FX for her. I had been using that for a year. Tried a wisp for a month but was not comfortable in the headgear - not sure why. I didn't notice the new Mira...

Re: Feeling Exhausted again and not sure why

I am not a mouth breather and don't have equipment to record myself sleeping. My pressure is at 11 and I am not on BIPAP. So once I ramp up it is constant at 11 according to the graphs though I think it drops slightly to let me breathe out. The Dr checks my thyroid all the time and never finds anyth...

Feeling Exhausted again and not sure why

I am still using the Mirage FX for her mask. Just replaced it in July, so still pretty new. I also got a wisp and tried it for a week or so, but did not feel comfortable in the headgear around and got bumps/bruises around my nose on the left side so went back to the Mirage. I reviewed my AHI and lea...

Re: SD card question

When I got the new card and put it in to download it worked but I found that I lost a month of data from before the chip was taken out. I had taken the machine on vacation and the only thing I can figure happened is that the chip wasn't clicked all the way in from transporting it and I didn't realiz...

SD card question

Will any SD card work in my Respironics CPAP machine. When I got my new Wisp mask the tech wanted the chip to download for the doctor and promised to send it back in 2 days. It has been a week and I don't know if the new mask is working as well without the data to check it.

CPAP.COM Question

Does CPAP.com require a doctor's prescription in order for me to order a mask? I am getting so frustrated with the DME's in my area. The one who serviced my account for 6 months apparently is no longer allowed to supply CPAP supplies. Having trouble getting my supplies ordered and I am already overd...

Re: Changing Mask Questions

Would you just order the one you want from cpap.com and get the other one from the DME so you have two choices? or could it screw up therapy without the Dr involved?

Changing Mask Questions

I want to change my mask to a nasal pillow. My DME said I need the Dr to write a prescription. Is that standard to have to get the Dr involved again?

Thinking of trying a new mask for summer - nasal pillows

Looking for information from nasal pillow users. I have used the Mirage FX mask (nasal only) for 6 months but with it getting hotter out I was wondering if nasal pillows would be more comfortable/less claustrophobic on those extra humid summer nights. Let me know what your experience is. My CPAP sup...

Air Travel with My CPAP

Thanks for all the help in earlier topics but I do still have questions. Has anyone had trouble with all the security measures at the airport getting their CPAP through? Does it slow down the procedure any more than other carry on items? My bag is smaller than most carry-ons even with the humid, hos...
