Re: Difference in slimline hose and climate line hose for s9
He ClimateLine hose has a heating element in it. So along with your heated humidifier you will have a heated hose as well. As soon as you connect the hose to the machine it will give you the option to change the heating temp. on your home screen.

Re: How do you deal with the DMEs?
In my experience they are either checking you for compliance or are trying to cover themselves because you are changing your pressure settings. We would have to notify the MD and insurance companies if we had someone changing the settings. We would have to get several downloads showing that we set t...

Re: Hippa Laws and Mailing me My own Sleep Study
Would hippa apply to an sd card download? Can it be sent in the mail or email? Yes. HIPPA applies to SD card downloads because on the readout the Pt's name and information are printed on the top of the download. You would have to give written consent to email or mail specific items to your address/...

Re: I should get an award for being DUMB
In my experience working at a DME. They will not provide another mask regardless of what prescription you have. DME's go by insurance guidelines and if the insurance will not pay for the mask because you have not waited the 3 months (per your insurance) you won't be able to get one. But that is her...

I'm wondering tho... if my PCP sent in a script to the dme for the Elan, would they have to provide it? In my experience working at a DME. Re: CPAP setup fees
Sounds like your DME is a Fee for Service. Where I used to work we had to bill a certain ICD9 code for CPAP setups. Another ICD9 code for Mask fittings. And another ICD9 code for service machine. Yet another ICD9 code for a RT visit. They are all allowed and billable by medicare.

If you can handle it use white vinegar and water to disinfect weekly and it should cut down on the everyday wash wear and tear.

Re: Hospital O2 Sats never below 90 - What do you think?
It could also be positional. Normally in the hospital they don't lay you completely flat like you would be in regular bed. Even the slightest elevation can have an effect (positive or negative) on your O2 sats.

Re: NEW MASKS FOR SALE/SUPPLIES AND MACHINES
I for one do not know why "others" have been asked to stop selling. I have talked to a few members(well established posters and sellers) they state they have not gotten any notice to quit. I have not received notice to quit. Once my machines are gone I have nothing left to sell. I do appreciate you ...

Re: Still haven't received the ASV machine that was prescribed
I have worked in DME for years. I can count on both hands the number of ASV machines that I have set people up on. Yes, insurance companies do look down on you when you refuse equipment from a DME no matter what the reason. When I had a refusal I would have to send a statement to the insurance compa...

If he can't get his story straight on what he does or she does, then do you feel confident enough now to buy from him????????????? My husband started...
