Re: Need a quick critique on this report please

Good Afternoon, My first question would be what mask do you have, nasal or Full Face, or nasal pillows? Knowing which mask you have could explain the suffocating feeling especially nasal pillows which go right under you nose like an oxygen cannula. The opening on the pillows are very narrow almost f...

Re: Please help me figure this out?

http://www.sleepmapper.com. This website is exclusive to the unit you have and in my opinion offers a far better way to Down Load and understand the readings from your unit. without having a true Sleep Study there is not a way you can really know what's going on with your sleep to determine the true...

Re: Praises for Pad a Cheek

Being A CPAP Tech, after every setup I direct patient's to two websites.

CPAPTALK.COM

PADACHEEK.COM

We carry Remzzz's, Sleep PAP pillows, citrus mask wipes and strap guards. I find that having Accessories make sleep better with PAP.

Re: Which ASV is best? Overall

learning to breath with the unit is sometimes the hardest, especially when it is designed to breath at rates per minute. Ramping is key and relaxing is most vital to getting use to ASV therapy.

Re: desensitization!

That's a great trick to teach patient's on, YOGA 1,2,3 in 1,2,3, out, pure genius. This is why I love this forum. In this trade its the feed back of the consumer that makes us better technicians. I called my buddy this afternoon, my 72hr follow up call and he expressed to me more comfort now that we...

desensitization!

Friday afternoon I setup a Patient with an ASV unit made by Res Med: Setting were EEP of 10 with a min PS of 5 and a max PS of 10. So in essence the BIPAP starting pressure was going to be 15/10 with no ramp. There is no way anyone can tolerate this type of pressure to start with. So I called the Dr...

TRANSCEND CPAP: I have a guy is a boy scout troop leader and was asking if I knew of anything he could use for camping. He had a Res MED S7 Elite. so needless to say it wasn't the most travel friendly or camping friendly. I told him about the Transcend CPAP. It's weight is 0.9ounces and literally fi...

Re: CPAP Basics - 4

Most people I see have a sleep debt the size of our national dept. AHI 35or higher Severe OSA. Others are like myself, a little on the chubby side sever snoring or an AHI 5-15 Mild. So its far harder to tolerate. I had a guy one time who feel asleep on our recliner and we had to wake him up. He is t...

Re: CPAP Basics - 4

Coming from someone who works for a DME himself, I've always felt this place has given me such an insight into the life a CPAP user. Here we are sitting at a desk ordering products, seeing what's new and always hearing what we have to do next. Weather it be Fisher & Paykel, Res Med, Respironics, Dev...
