Re: Full Face Mask + Chinstrap?

hope this helps I am a mouth breather. Was given a FF mask and like you HATED the cotton batten mouth. Someone gave me elsewhere, not here, some bad advice and told me to use a nasal mask so I did and LOVED it, no more cotton mouth. I woke up with a normal mouth and assumed I was keeping my mouth c...

Re: Any use for old machine?

Before giving it to my DME, I would check my sleep doc's office. The DME might just consider it one less sale--or sell it! Forget about Goodwill--they destroy them. Not all Goodwills destroy the machines. Some sell them online. https://shopgoodwill.com/categories/listing?st=cpap&sg=&c=&s=&lp=0&hp=9...

Re: Why do some people hate full face masks?

A beard is absolutely the reason my husband wears a nasal. I myself started FF but had quite a bit of fit/leak issues. I moved to nasal and it felt much better to not have as much pressure and stuff on my face. I'm a mouth breather with a deviated septum, so I never thought I'd like it but I did. No...

Re: Traveling with CPAP

I've traveled quite a bit with my machine and have just used bottled water. Keep in mind your CPAP and carrier are not supposed to count as your personal item, as durable medical equipment it's exempt from being considered luggage with most airlines.

Re: Mouth breather with a swift fx nasal mask

I would try to go up one size on the pillows if you can get a set and see how that feels. I personally feel like I am suffocating at less than 8 cm pressure. Well I use the small and the mediums dont fit right, I'd like to have it at more but i have like an auto setting that starts at 5 even if i d...

Re: Brain Fog

My brain fog is a mess because I have severe OSA and ADHD Ouch! That must be really tough. What I have found a little disheartening is that I didn't have this brain fog before the CPAP... However, since I'm so early in the process I figure patience is my friend. As well as potentially increasing th...

Re: Brain Fog

My brain fog is a mess because I have severe OSA and ADHD, I dont take any medication for it yet because my Dr wanted to wait until I was on CPAP before exploring treatment, he insisted it would probably go away on it, if anything I now have more energy so I'm SUPER hyper and lose concentration easi...

Re: Mouth breather with a swift fx nasal mask

OK so I tried the comfort gel and it was super uncomfortable, if I put the mask to my forehead with the forehead rest piece thing then it's all the way to the edge of my chin in the bottom and pinches the top of my nose because it hangs too low, seems it's too big for me but it's the small also it k...
