Re: Provigil ?
I continue to take it and it still is very effective for me. I think I am just getting used to feeling this way (awake) and do not see the drastic difference that I did when I first started. On another note: My insurance company provides me a list of all the medications I take, with what the Pharmac...

Re: Provigil ?
Thanks - I also have seen a drop off of effectiveness. Or at least it appears so. As to the insurance aspect, when the Dr. mentioned it to me were walking out of the exam room and the nurse and the lady at the desk heard him and both let out an "Oh Brother". I asked and was told that they had gone t...

Provigil ?
Has anyone been prescribed Provigil? I was about 2 months ago to combat my daytime sleepiness that I experienced even after 6 months on BiPAP. I saw lots of improvements but the daytime snoozies still stayed with me. At a follow up with my Sleep doctor, he suggested, and prescribed Provigil. I was h...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
After my Sleep Test, my doctor told me that I scored worse than anyone he has seen in his 12 years doing Sleep Therapy. My supplier set me up with a machine and I had the worse time trying to get used to it. I went back to them 4 times before I slept through the night with the machine. (Stay tuned -...

Re: Wisp on the Way
I picked up a Wisp from my supplier this morning.
They have just gotten them in and wanted an evaluation.
I used this afternoon for a nap and it is very comfortable.
I normally use an Easy Life and prefer the Wisp.

Re: Bad Machine?
Further update: I got the gauge (more on that in a bit) and last night awoke unable to breathe. Checked the level and it was good (as I suspected) so the machine is fine and the problem is me. My nasal passages seem to close up after 3 or 4 hours of being on the machine. I see the Sleep Doctor tomor...

Re: Bad Machine?
Update: The machine ran through the night - BUT - when I awoke it seemed like it was barely outputting any air. I did a search and found a place to order a CPAP Pressure Tester like they used to check the first two machines I brought back. I figure $30 is not too much to pay to tell me whether it is...

Re: Bad Machine?
I just got back from swapping the power supply. I will see if it runs through the night. INFO: I have run the machine with and without the humidifier connected with no difference. I have never put water in the humidifier. When the humidifier is attached, I keep the indicator on 0. I have detached th...

Re: Bad Machine?
When you got the different machines that have had this problem did you also get new power supply...the brick and that cord that goes with the brick? Or have you used the same power supply with each machine? Check the plug in right at the machine level...see if it is easy to dislodge. Your settings ...

Re: Bad Machine?
Not likely three machines in a row. Have each been plugged in to the same power outlet? Could that be a source of the trouble? The first was plugged into an extension cord when I first set it up. I rearranged the clock and light and plugged it directly into the wall. Voltage is normal with no other...

Mode.. IPAP.. EPAP.. ramp time.. Auto On.. Auto Off.. Mode - BiLevel IPAP - 13.0 EPAP - 9.0 Ramp Time - 0:30 Auto On - Off Auto Off - Off I will look into the software as I would like to be able to see the detailed data myself. Another problem is that when the machine stops, it wakes me. So I have ...

Bad Machine?
I am new at this so I may not have all the correct terms. I am less than a month into my machine and am on my third one. I am using a System One BiPAP Auto Bi-Flex with a humidifier (which I have not filled with water yet). They all have shut down during the night. They don’t turn off, they just qui...
