Re: Side Effect, Mid-Back Pain
I think its muscular too, maybe from not moving much, or the body isn't used to breathing so deeply and well all night long and this is the outcome. Like when we do some hard work and some of our muscles that haven't been used in a while just wake up and say owwwwww..

Re: Side Effect, Mid-Back Pain
Hi Paul, I've never heard of that being associated with CPAP therapy. Not that I have a TON of experience, but I will be surprised if there's a relationship. HOWEVER, I do see how being on CPAP therapy could CHANGE the way one sleeps, and if you were already pre-disposed to back problems it could c...

Side Effect, Mid-Back Pain
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea back in November 2012. I have since been using an AutoCpap machine. I have the Resmed S9 AutoSet with H5i and the Swift FX mask. It has been going pretty well, sleeping pretty good, but I sometimes get a certain side effect from the treatment. I j...

At the moment, yes she does. I used to smoke too, but never in our bedroom. I have to take into consideration that thus us new to her too. A big change. Another gentle discussion and Im sure it will change. For now I guess I need to find ways to kill the odor. Arathetapy sounds quite intetesting

Re: CPAP machines and cigarette smoke
10 days on, 4 Days off.
That's a couple of good ideals.. But in the end, There should be no smoking in the bedroom.. At least that..
Its a new situation, I gotta give it time, and her too.

CPAP machines and cigarette smoke
Hi everyone. Today I would like to talk about tobacco smoke. Now my situation may not reflect everyone else's, but I feel the need to talk about it. Now the way I see it, a CPAP will function in the same manner as a Air Purifier machine. That can get annoying If you are a non-smoker, or someone who ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed CPAP user (Long HAUL TRUCK Driver)
Ok... So How much power does a CPAP machine require? Grrrr.. I was sleeping so deeply, then the Inverter shuts off.. CPAP then shuts down, no air.. Brutal wake up call! I guess I will be plugging it directly into the Truck's main power..

Re: First night Results
What do you think would be a good startup pressure? If your median stays the same and the 95% stays the same over the next few nights...probably around 8 or 9. I know they do things a little differently in Canada and they may have set the machine wide open on purpose to get an idea where it needs t...
