Issues with dry mouth + humidifier - Upgrade CPAP?
Hi, I've had consistent issues with the humidifier on my S9 - some nights it works OK chamber is near empty when i wake, other nights the chamber is almost at the fill line when i wake (nearly untouched). I use a quattro air FFM and all in all my mouth is bone dry when i wake up and the dryness has ...

Re: Help with Humidity!
Great ideas here -- didn't think to try mask liners. I tried bringing the machine down to 4.5 last night, still bone dry, 5 seemed to be a decent compromise, going to see what effect 5.5 has tonight. I'm using the nice thick fleece hose liner, and my primary complaint is around the mask -- i'm not s...

Re: Help with Humidity!
Pugsy - my bedroom temperature is around 67 degrees. I don't use a heater in the bedroom, but that temp is pretty consistent. Know of a good way to gauge humidity off of room temp?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

Help with Humidity!
I've been struggling with trying to get my Humidity right and i am stuck - my problem is that i either wakeup with a bone dry mouth or being rained out ... I'm using a Resmed S9 Auto VPAP machine with a Quattro Air FFM & ClimateLine tubing covered in a house snuggy. I don't want to accept that i hav...

Re: new mask resmed Quattro air
I've found this mask to be amazing. I've tried most FFM's and Hybrids without success -- this one keeps getting better: Leaks: I've had issues with leaks but found that this is one of the few masks i've tried where tightening seems to really help. I finally wake up without dry eyes, FINALLY! Comfort...

Re: Swift FX - One step forward, two steps backwards
From "outside the box" it may be that you have changed the way you manage your hose. The pillows will cave in if the hose gets pulled in an off direction. Also, not all replacement pillows are the same. Sometimes you need to go through a couple to find a "good" one. Great point HoseCrusher -- it ju...

Swift FX - One step forward, two steps backwards
I've had a Swift FX mask for over seven months now and loved it for the first 5-6 months. The first month was challenging, but every week gradually got better and I averaged 6-7 hours of sleep per night in the mask with really good low AHI's. I felt like I had the mask figured out, knew where my set...

Re: First time with a FFM - Hours Per Night and AHI Down
Thanks HyperLexis -- sizing just might be my issue. I used the sizing tool and I seem to be in between a medium and a large but my DME sized me for the medium. Might try going up a size to see if that helps before my 30 day exchange period ends! I'm going back to taping & nasal pillows tonight, feel...

Re: First time with a FFM - Hours Per Night and AHI Down
nights were when I slept poorly for whatever reason. Simply because I didn't get enough sleep for the little buggers to show up. Good point. I think I started waking up from leaks the first 3 nights I had the mask. Then my padacheek arrived and I was able to sleep 6.5 hours, now i'm down to 5 hours...

First time with a FFM - Hours Per Night and AHI Down
I just picked up a Quattro FX FFM last week. It's been a battle sleeping well in this mask. I'm averaging 5 hours per night in the Quattro FX, my prior stats were 7 hours per night on my Swift FX. I think i've gotten the leaks figured out - got a padacheek and I have very low leak #'s. Does it take ...

Re: Vent air bothersome
Agreed. Also have the Swift FX and it has a loud vent when it comes up against sheets/etc. Do you have any kind of hose management? I find that when the hose hangs overhead with the swift, it helps keep the vent upward.

Re: Mask replacement time, hybrid for backup?
The Hybrid is great -- but given all of the variables : 3 mouth pads, 3 nasal pillows & a complex strap system - it takes some time to size. I'm on night 3 with it, last night was a major step back for the worse -- made a minor change in pillow height and all hell broke lose - was only able to sleep...
