Thanks for confirming that to me.

direct dc or inverter
For car camping, I'm wondering whether it is more efficient (longer run time off the car battery) to go directly from the battery (using the dc cables to the cpap machine, which my machine can to) or using a small inverter. I would think it would be better to avoid the energy conversion with the inv...

Re: Best Chinstrap?
I've tried two of the adjustable kind, but much prefer a non adjustable one that I haven't seen anyone else mention. It's MySnoringSolution. Kind of expensive at about $100, though they offer 2-for-1 specials. It's quite comfortable (for me) and easy to slip on. One problem I do have is that it stre...

Re: Has anyone used this product?
Sleepio, no I haven't ordered one yet. The manufacturer (distributor?) has also told me they tend to last about a year before needing replacement...

Re: Has anyone used this product?
I contacted the company selling this (Good Morning Snore Solution). It's a plastic mouth piece that you insert your tongue into. Costs a bit over $100, 30 day money back guarantee. Here my correspondence: Message: Hello, I use a cpap machine and am looking for a way to keep air from exiting my mouth...

Re: Has anyone used this product?
Sleepio, if you are still following this thread, could you clear something up for me? - I'm still wondering whether these devices prevent air from leaking out the mouth. If you are using a cpap, why would you use a devise that tries to open the mouth airway and allows air to exit the mouth? Somehow ...

Re: Has anyone used this product?
I'm assuming this product is meant to keep air from exiting the mouth It is almost certainly a tongue retaining device, which uses suction to keep the tongue pulled forward so that it doesn't fall back and block the airway. The Aveo is another such device, with different design. I had one. It hurt ...

Re: Has anyone used this product?
I'm assuming this product is meant to keep air from exiting the mouth, which is why I wonder whether it would work instead of a chin strap.
The "one size" alerts me too.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this mouthpiece. Pretty expensive little piece of plastic ($100), but if it works instead of a chinstrap...

Re: mouthpiece instead of chin strap
Thanks for all the replies. I have a fairly full beard and mustache. Even tho there may be even more benefits to shaving (like people not recognizing me!), I'm resistant to getting on a shaving regimen. So the taping may not be an option for me. Training my tongue to stay in place to block the air s...

mouthpiece instead of chin strap
I'm using a nose pillow for breathing and am trying to find something besides a chin strap for keeping my mouth shut. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

how to change pressure setting?
Newbie paying out-of-pocket (I have a very high deductible). I had a sleep study about 6 years ago (cost me $1200) and was told my apnea wasn't severe enough to progress further. I've gotten a lot worse since then. Finally decided to try a cpap machine. Got a Respironics Pro2 cpap machine (7 years o...
