AUTOPAP Machine Was Sitting In Damp Basement 4 Years. Safe?
4 years ago I was diagnosed via sleep study. I bought a Phillips Respironics REMstar A-Flex and after using it a month or two I gave up on it because it was just too annoying to use. Now 4 years latter I am feeling my apnea worsening. The unit I have was sitting in a damp wet basement the last 4 yea...

Re: Just Got my Auto-Pap But Have Trouble Exhaling ?
Well last night was the first full night of using the machine. In the beginning it felt strange and it was making me short of breath a little. It felt a little hard to exhale or take those deep fulfilling breaths, but after a while I relaxed and fell asleep. I haven't slept this well in years. I wok...

Just Got my Auto-Pap But Have Trouble Exhaling ?
OK so I finally got my autopap today with the full face mask. I wore it this afternoon when I took a nap. Mind you, I am totally new at this. Inhaling felt fine, but exhaling felt like I was struggling. Mild exhaling through my nose is fine, but when I take those occasional deep beaths and exhale th...

Re: Just Diagnosed and Confused! Is 88% Oxygen Bad?
So if the average O2 is 95% and the lowest recording was 88% does that mean that most of the night I was at 95 and only dropped when breathing stopped?

Just Diagnosed and Confused! Is 88% Oxygen Bad?
I went to one of these sleep centers in NYC and had the home test because my insurance wouldn't pay for an overnight. I took home an Alice something. The doctor called and said I had mild to moderate obstructive apnea. I asked for specifics and she said I had an average of 7 apnea events per hour. I ...

Re: Anyone here on Testosterone Therapy?
Since going on testosterone, I wake up to a woodie every morning. It's usually up before me. I thought I was way past that age wise (59), and never had the T supplements make a difference....however since being on the CPAP for a few weeks I'm starting to notice some of that too! Hmmmm.....got the w...

Re: Anyone here on Testosterone Therapy?
See what I mean? My male doctor understands what I am talking about, though. Women hate the word, aggressive. Female physicians are poor candidates for properly administering TRT, IMO. Eric I would not use a female physician for testosterone replacement therapy. Females simply do not understand the...

My T levels before Testopel were under 200. Now I'm up around 950. I get the pellets implanted under my skin every 3 months. My PSA last check was .04 The morning erections have returned and I feel much more normal on T. The only side effect I have is it raises my RBC and Hematocrit so I have to don...
