Re: S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
Thanks, Pugsy! That's very generous of you. I'll dig out my old humidifier today and see what I have. I'll get back to you.
Automatic or manual? Heh heh, I have no idea. I'll look for the settings

Re: Free Used Resmed S9 Climate line heated hose
I'll gratefully accept it if it hasn't already found a home. How the heck do you PM on this board? LOL Didn't you say in a previous post that you already had a CLimate Line Hose? Yup, I said that I have one that has never felt even remotely warm. Not sure that it works. And yes, LSAT, I'm uninsured.

Re: S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
There are no DME's on this island that carry CPAP gear and I don't know of anyone else on CPAP - not here, at any rate.
I might have to be a gambler just like you. Many thanks!

Re: S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
Thanks! Is there any chance that the humidifier problem lies within the S9 VPAP rather than within the humidifier itself?

Re: S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
When it was working, I'd get about 3 nights out of a tank. I think it would last better than a week now. It definitely failed. Sleep went down hill about a week to 10 days ago. I started noticing that I was breathing cold air during the night. That's what led me to start looking at the humidifier. I...

Re: S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
Thanks Pugsy! I do have a stand alone humidifier. It's old. Might be a F&P. I'll have to dig it out and take a look. I use a climate line. It has never felt even slightly warm. Temps here rarely drop below 80 in the summer and only down to around 70 in the winter. I set the H5i at 3 for most of the ...

Re: S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
Thanks for your response! Interesting... I've questioned whether the climate line ever worked. Is it supposed to feel warm to the touch? The humidifier definitely used to work. I had to turn it down at one point. It's been humid lately but the numerous times I've woken up barely able to swallow, wit...

S9 VPAP humidifier compatability
Greetings all
The H5i humidifier on my S9 VPAP has failed. Can the S9 VPAP be used with another humidifier?
The heating plate starts to warm when you pre warm it but never gets hot. When I wake up, the plate and the water are cold. Any advise?
Thanks!

Re: Constantly smelling exhaust fumes
This thread brought back a memory that gave me a chuckle today. I hope it gives you one too. On another forum - somewhere around '98 - someone posted that they were experiencing terrible smells all night long when they were on CPAP. It took awhile to get to the bottom of it, so to speak...LOL It tur...

Re: S9 VPAP auto/ReScan help and advise needed
Many thanks for your feedback, pugsy! Yes, I too suspect mouth-breathing for those huge leaks. That caught me off guard. I didn't expect to see any mouth breathing. What is the "Pressure (High Rate)" graph? Do the red lines represent the device settings? When zoomed in on, the pressure is consistent...

Re: S9 VPAP auto/ReScan help and advise needed
Good morning, pugsy. As per the clinicians menu on the machine...Max IPap 16.8, Min EPAP 14, Pressure Support 2.8. Here are some screen shots. Thanks for telling me how to do them! What do you see in these graphs? http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i462/BlueWater_VI/summary.jpg http://i1095.photobu...

Re: S9 VPAP auto/ReScan help and advise needed
Many, many thanks for your response, pugsy!! I have a very early start tomorrow but I'll post my stats and graphs tomorrow. Yes, I used the clinicians menu on the machine to set the pressures. This morning's download verified the device settings. I will be very grateful for your input when I post th...
