Re: Who uses a cervical collar to stop mouth openings?
I have used one for several months due to mouth opening and dry throat/mouth. It works great. It doesn't sweat. It is washable and breathable. I don't use anything else to keep the mouth shut.

Re: Anyone here on Testosterone Therapy?
You need to read the monographs that come with all of the TRT products. Whether it be Androgel, Testim, Axiron, whatever. Every single one of them mentions that administration of TRT can cause or worsen sleep apnea. Go to the Androgel 1.62% site, click on "side effects" on the right hand side. And i...

"I wear a cervical collar fitted snugly every night and it does not keep my mouth shut and I still need CPAP and a full face mask.

Just curious- why wear the collar if it doesn't keep your mouth shut? Do you need a wider collar, one that fits snugly under your chin when you sleep. The...

Re: Anyone here on Testosterone Therapy?
"I have low T. I'm currently on Testopel which is testosterone pellets inserted under the skin every 3 months. I read that testosterone replacement therapy can worsen sleep apnea. I am concerned about this. And I also have to donate a pint of blood every 3 months because my RBC and hematocrit run hi...

Never- it is breathable and washable. I have tried chin straps before and this beats them all. Your throat feels snug. You can adjust the tightness. Walgreens has one for $15- 1 size fits all.

Re: I have my machine/mask, what else do I need?
I have had mine several weeks now. It is the Sleepstyle 200, built in humidifer with nasal pillows set @ 7CM. I quickly found that I was waking up in the morning with a very dry throat and mouth. I found out that it was because my mouth opened during the night. I fixed that by useing a cervical coll...
