Re: Sleep tracker via Fitbit
I have the Fitbit... I use it every night and it usually scores me from 94-97%. Like you said, I'm not sure how accurate it is because I just think that it senses movement but still interesting.

Re: Airlines and cpap
I just came back from a trip yesterday. I had no problems bringing my machine either way. I threw a copy of my prescription in my bag just in case but I never needed it. I had my mask and hose in a ziplock bag in case they handled anything, which they didn't. I carried on a tote bag, my purse and my...

Re: Newbie with very high pressure (21/17) - can't sleep!
My BiPAP pressure is 20/16 and I use nasal pillows. They tried a nasal mask and a ffm during my sleep study and I couldn't tolerate either. With the nasal pillows, I have been able to sleep with my mask 7-9 hours every single night since the day I brought it home.

Re: I Left My Sleep Study -- Undone.
My first sleep study was with CPAP, which I failed. I had to go back for a second study with the BiPAP.

Re: Getting a copy of CPAP Prescription?
I guess that I got really lucky with my DME. When I went to pick up my machine, they gave me a folder that had my RX from my doc plus copies of both of my sleep studies and a bunch of paperwork about my machine, cleaning schedule, covered supplies, receipts, etc.

Re: How was your OSA/CSA discovered?
I have snored for pretty much my whole life. I remember being 6-7 years old and waking myself up from snoring. About 4 years ago, I had emergency gallbladder surgery. I had an infection so I had to stay in the hospital for a total of 5 days. I was sleeping one day and one of the doctors came in to c...

Re: Dating with Sleep Apnea
I guess I feel this way because my ex-husband was not at all supportive with me having Sleep Apnea. He would complain about the noise of the mask (which doesn't really make a whole lot of noise compare to what my Dads did), the air that came out of the mask, just about anything. So, now I am really...

Re: Lansenoh
I found my Lansinoh at Target. This stuff is incredible! I put a little around each nostril at night and it keeps me from getting pressure sores. I got them really badly when I first started therapy.

Traveling/Flying question
In April I'll be flying for the 1st time with my machine. I've read up a lot here and feel like I know what I need to do and I don't expect any problems but I have one small question. I HAVE to take my Lansinoh... I cannot use my nasal pillows without it or I get contact sores. Can I just put it in ...

I use the Swift FX for her and I love it! I can read and watch TV with it on... and honestly, I don't even feel it anymore.

Re: How old were you when you got your CPAP?
I got mine this past September at 39. I was told by a doctor about 4 years prior, when I was in the hospital after a surgery that I needed a sleep study. I ignored it because I wasn't ready to deal with it yet. I'm so glad that I finally dealt with it! I'm one of the lucky ones that took to therapy ...

Re: Severe sleep apnea people, how did you survive before cpap?
I was diagnosed after a sleep study in September. My AHI was 91.4. Oxygen saturation was 86%, dropping to as low as 58%. I woke up with horrible headaches, couldn't stay awake at ALL if I wasn't making myself busy and even then it was with great effort. I was irritable, had no focus or concentration...

Re: Need a favor from PR S1 60 series BiPap user
Hope this is what you need Pugsy... if not, just let me know That's exactly what I needed to see. Thank you for taking the time to install SleepyHead and the patch. SleepyHead is showing 100 plus AHI and nothing else. It's obvious that the patch to get BiPap 60 series data isn't complete. Nor is it...
