Re: Resmed Airsense 10 has stopped transmitting. Any Advice?
Mine hasn't uploaded data for the past 3 or 4 nights. I contacted my DME supplier and was told that it has something to do with switching to 5G or some such. Your device uploads data to Resmed via the cellular phone network. These networks go in "generations", each one newer and faster than the pre...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 has stopped transmitting. Any Advice?
Mine hasn't uploaded data for the past 3 or 4 nights. I contacted my DME supplier and was told that it has something to do with switching to 5G or some such. She said that if I don't have 5G access at this location, it won't make the connection. That doesn't sound right to me but that's approximate...

Re: How often do you clean your equipment?
When I started on CPAP I was a real stickler about cleaning all parts of the CPAP equipment. The DME gave me a printed instruction sheet that included washing the mask every day and the hose and water tank once a week. I was also supposed to soak those items in a vinegar solution once a week. Major ...

Re: Humidifier doesn't hold enough water
Are you sure your tank isn't leaking? One of my machines is a Remstar Pro 2, outwardly similar to yours, and even with the humidity level set to 5, I never use more than about a half tank of water during the night. I'm also a mouth breather, by the way. Sometimes the base of the water tank can get w...

Re: Remembering SnoreDog
I haven't dropped by here for quite a long time and was saddened to learn that SnoreDog is gone. He was one of the no-frills good guys.

Re: Does CPAP Therapy Eliminate Snoring ?
I stopped snoring when I went on CPAP about five years ago. That alone is enough to keep me 100% compliant.

Re: Mouth Taping--Consequences?
It's been quite a while since I got tired of taping and went back to using a full-face mask. My experience has been that my numbers were actually much better with the nasal mask and taping than with the full-face mask. The leak rate is about the same so I don't see any obvious reason for it, but I d...

Re: ZZZ Mask
I've used the ZZZ full face mask for a very long time and wouldn't use anything else at this point. I like the fact that I can order just the replacement parts I need instead of having to buy an entire mask. The only exception is the L-shaped valve thingy which apparently only comes with new masks. ...

Re: Poll: How many masks do you use?
After going through most of the masks on the market, I finally found the one that works for me , and that's really what it's all about. It doesn't matter if a mask is the top seller, or gets the highest rating from users. If it doesn't work for you, then it's of no value. I only ask for two things f...

Re: Poll: Are you happy with your current supplier? VOTE Please
Mine stopped calling after about the first six months. Then they wouldn't even return my calls. They're sorta like a bad date: They tell you they really like you and that they'll call you but they never do.

Re: what's the cause of being tired even after CPAP? Help please
Overall fatigue can be due to a whole lot more things than apnea. I suspect that treating the apnea may bring other issues to the surface that we were too tired to notice previously. Maintaining a proper diet, getting daily exercise, avoiding tobacco, moderating alcohol consumption, getting enough s...

Re: Concealed Carry and CPAP
...I quit carrying when I started having to wear the mask. Seems to me that the time to question your ability to carry was before you went on CPAP, not after. Why would you feel any less capable now that you're being treated? Just be thankful that you live in one of the 48 states that allow conceal...

Re: Life Insurance... retiring military?
Eric, I don't want to launch an insurance debate here, but I'd suggest that if you're going to buy commercial life insurance, you at least consider just plain term insurance instead of what sounds like the whole life policy that you're planning on purchasing. There are plenty of good, long-term inve...
