Re: Here we go again or the saga continues
Another update I found out the problem with getting replacement. My sleep study 5 years ago was done with a fixed pressure cpap setup. It was my doctor, 3 months later, who reported to the DME that I had failed the cpap and needed a bilevel. The DME never reported this to Medicare nor did they charg...

Re: Here we go again or the saga continues
Well here is an update. I can not get Lincare to give me a TES or NO as to if I qualify for a new VPAP replacment. I don't know where the problem is and I can't seem to find out from them either. The office I am working with does not submit the info to Medicare, they send it to their home offive. so...

SD Card corrupted
The s9 vpap wants to erase the card. My question is: if I erase the card, how much and what type of information will the machine rewrite to the card? Will the information include any of the machine settings, any long term data? I have down loaded all date including data for today. I will be taking m...

Re: Trouble breathing when I first lie down
I feel this way some times. What I do is to increase my breathing rate but make it shallow for about 10 seconds, then I relax and start saying my prayers. Among other benefits, praying occupies my mind so my breathing can naturally stabilize. I had this problem when I first started using cpap and o...

Re: Here we go again or the saga continues
I just found a document on line titled "Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) Devices: Complying With Documentation & Coverage Requirements" and page 6 addresses getting a new machine if you got your old pmahine prior to enrolling in Medicare. Since there is no record of Medicare ever buying your old mach...

Re: Here we go again or the saga continues
If they do another sleep study, you will not need to "fail" CPAP prior to getting a BIPAP machine. I have never had a CPAP. My doctor simply put "Patient did not tolerate CPAP" on my prescription and was issued a BIPAP machine. If your doctor can say you have been using a machine and it is treating...

Here we go again or the saga continues
Well my doctor put in for a replacement bilevel, I have Medicare. He said it would be no problem. Well it is a big problem. It seems the DME did not charge Medicare for my S9 AVPAP BiLevel back in 2012. It seems they were in some kind of trouble with Medicare at the time I got my machine. So now I h...

Re: New to BiPap-Trying to Adjust/Reduce AHIs/Anxiety Issues
Hi Dallas, regarding your statement, " I have developed raging all day Anxiety that is there as soon as I open my eyes. I literally have to take a Xanax the moment I wake up because I feel like I am going to go crazy with fear and doom. I have had occasional panic attacks for years, but never anythi...
