Hypopneas and Arousals vs Apneas
Hi, love this forum. I have used a CPAP for the last 13 years almost every night - I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea at that time 13 years ago. At that time, starting to use a CPAP totally changed my life. So, I have been bugging my PCP for a while, that hey, it's 13 years later, don't you thi...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Great info, thanks. So, I've had this battery/pap combo for about six months now, and used it on a couple of trips. It reduces the carrying wait and bulk for my cpap by quite a lot, which I love. I have had a couple of issues with the Transcend, though. About a month after I got it, the pressure sen...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Did a little more research. The manual for the transcend auto says the it needs a Somnetics PSA2 universal power supply or a Somnetics BAT4 or BAT8. I looked those up, and the PSA2 specs say it outputs 19V. On the other hand the BAT4 and BAT8 are batteries output 14.4V. Weirdly, the power supply I h...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Hi all, first post on here. I followed the advice in this thread and got myself a Transcend Auto mini cpap and a Poweradd battery. But I have a question. The power cord that came with the Transcend Auto says that it supplies 18 volts to the cpap. I can set my Poweradd battery to 16, 19, or 20 Volts,...

Re: Flexifit 407 Mask: Noise From Elbow Vent Holes
Exact same problem here with the exact same mask. Very loud howling sound, and in my sleep addled state it took me a long time to realize I just could not sleep with it, so I went back to my full face-mask. I lowered the heat setting at the time but the moisture was still there, will try again tonig...

ResScan plus VMWare Fusion on a Macbook Pro SD Card Reader
Hi, this post describes a fix for importing data from my S9 Autoset CPAP (with a standard SD Card that can be read by any SD card reader) to a Windows 7 Virtual Machine running on OS X Lion using VMWare Fusion software. Lion is running on an early 2011 Macbook Pro. Note this fix should work for othe...
