Re: update and question re: modem after compliance is done.
I was told with my insurance that compliance will be required to be proven every 90 days until eternity, even after the rental to own is complete so in order to keep on with supplies. No modem here though. They - The DME? - Is to mail me an envelope every 90 days with a new SD card and a return env...

Re: update and question re: modem after compliance is done.
Insurance will not pay for something not medically indicated--in spite of what your INTERNIST boss believes. My INTERNIST didn't say they would, nor did I say he believed they would. I'm not sure where you got that. Insurance has already paid for the cpap. My question was in regards to why I would ...

Yes, I'm aware of that. I've already fulfilled the requirements for compliance and own the machine. (Although I WILL be calling my insurance co. to verify that.)archangle wrote:Compliance is so they don't pay for CPAP for people who don't use it.

update and question re: modem after compliance is done.
So I've been on estrogen for 'almost two weeks and I'm sleeping better than I have in years, including the last almost 3 months that I've been using cpap. I called the sleep specialist who had suggested an overnight oximetry. He'd wanted to see if my O2 levels were dropping at night to see if perhap...

I'm seriously considering trying dental adhesive...seriously! If it held well enough, maybe I could lose the headgear!

Is there anything else I could use that I might have around the house?rjezuit wrote:I also use Lansinoh HPA Lanolin on my nostrils religiously. It seems to help with the seal, and if the mask is too tight it helps stop any irritation.

I'm still on my trial period with my cpap, been using the pillows well over a month. Should they be sending me new ones or do I have to call?

Agreed!Xney wrote:+1 3M Micropore, I use the 3" tape (only way to actually keep leaks down)
To the above poster, why are you even bothering with tape? your leak line looks amazing.

Wish I had a leak graph that looked like that!cosmo wrote:
I still get leaks with a chinstrap but its minor and only last for a few seconds. I'm going to tape tonight and chinstrap to see if leaks stop completely.

Re: SH data leaks: 95% reading
Ah, okay...still too high though then. Doesn't the graph look like 95% was lower than like 27 or around there?Xney wrote:no it means if you chop your night by time, minutes for example, sort them by the leak number for that minute, 95% of the night was lower than 31. 5% of the night was 31 and higher.

SH data leaks: 95% reading
I thought I read that the 95% meant that you'd spent 95% of the night at that level? My leak data consistently has me at a 95% level higher than it looks like it should be... According to this, my 95% leak rate was 31.20...unless I understand incorrectly (which is entirely possible), that means that...

Yeah, I fell asleep at a meeting at work. To be fair, it WAS pretty boring.chunkyfrog wrote:Too many ladies with apnea have already had men see us sleep:

Re: Can I use my SD card in a different machine...?
Okay, thanks. Darn, that is not the answer I wanted. I really hoped for the opportunity to see my data before packing it up and traveling with it. Oh well. I doubt it, ugh. Back a few months ago I returned my new S9 Auto to cpap.com (under warranty) and received a brand new S9. I put the SD card fr...

Re: OMG I may have to take back my DME comments
The biggest problem with Apria is billing. Another problem I had was shipping the wrong merchandise and pushing supplies that I didn't need. I told them not to call...I would call when I needed something. Hey, at least they CALLED you! They do NOTHING for me, don't review my data, don't send it to ...

Yeah, I had my appt with sleep doc yesterday and he wasn't happy that I'm stuck with Apria. Even he said they're horrible.
