I understand that the author is ill, and has not been able to update the app.
Sourceforge showed a number of people interested in fixing the app to work with 60 Series.
Has there been any progress on this?

Mouthguards
Anyone use mouthguards. My doc suggested to try out a cheap sports type, rather than forking out the $500+ custom jobbies at a dentist.
For me it would be to prevent biting my tongue.
So far the mask seems to reduce this, but I will need to have more experience to be sure.

Re: Increase Minimum Pressure?
Thanks Julie. Exactly how I feel. My DME eventually got onto that, but still kept with the 'too bad you couldn't stand the constant, so we could get your OAs down to zero'. Like she had to give me that shot each time. The other thing I was discussing with my wife, that I have sorely neglected, is th...

Re: PR Remstar Support: Do they respond?
Excellent points, purple. I need to be a bit more persistant with my DME. I got a stand-in person last time and it was a waste of my time for anything but the boiler-plate answers. I guess I just have to keep asking the hard questions, and eventually they will have to get the answers from RP, etc.. ...

Re: Increase Minimum Pressure?
I still agree the numbers are small. The therapist was pretty determined to get the OAs to zero. The numbers don't show it, but some nites the OAs were zero on constant pressure. Compared to about 2 on A-Flex. She kept me on constant until I couldn't breathe any more. The daytime symptoms were tight...

Re: Humidifier action when out of water: Remstar
Oops, just looked at the machine readout again, and the instruction book. No such thing as a low water alarm. I was misreading the humidifier LED on/off setting. (it looked like 'level' setting abbreviated on the small screen). The book does not say anything about freeking out if the water runs out,...

Re: PR Remstar Support: Do they respond?
I want to know if the humidifier heat is turned off when the water is low. And if the heated hose is turned off similarly. I did not really want to let it run dry and see what happens - probably would be OK, but may reduce lifetime of element.

Re: Increase Minimum Pressure?
How do I feel?
Hmm: not sure yet. I think I am better, now that the chest pain is starting to get somewhat better.
This will take time, so something to look forward to: feeling better ...

, I knew someone would say that. Yep, small numbers compared to small numbers, probably mean little.

Re: Increase Minimum Pressure?
Trial: Without A-Flex: AHI average: 4.0 CA average: 0.3 OA average: 0.6 H average: 3.1 With A-Flex: AHI average: 4.6 CA average: 1.3 OA average: 1.1 H average: 2.2 Now: With A-Flex: AHI average: 5.5 CA average: 1.6 OA average: 1.9 H average: 2.0 OAs seems to be increasing. So, I am thinking of incre...

PR Remstar Support: Do they respond?
I tried sending one of those web messages on the PR site. No response.
I do have the technical customer care number: 800-345-6443.
Any experience with how helpful they are. I read this and that about PR support, not great stuff .... Just want to know what I will be up against when I start.

Increase Minimum Pressure?
During the trial part of my starting with CPAP, we found that my AHI numbers were significantly lower with A-flex off. However, I found it hard to take the constant pressure, so we switched to A-flex. My numbers pretty much doubled, but still kept me below the magic 5.0 mostly. We reasoned it is bet...

Humidifier action when out of water: Remstar
2 Questions when water is very low: 1. Does the Remstar automatically turn off the humidifier? It has a low water 'alarm' setting, which I have never used, but the logic being the machine knows about it, so does it turn off the plate? 2. Does the Remstar automatically turn off the heated hose? I fou...

Chest Soreness - Strategy?
Fairly recent CPAPer here - 2+ months. Doc told me my chest soreness was due to my lungs being inflated with air due to the CPAP pressure, which is a different state than before CPAP. The chest soreness is the muscles responding to this new lung-filled pressure. OK, so should I be ramping up my usag...

Insurance Question: in the Great White North
Reasonable and customary - is the term used to describe insurance coverage for CPAP equipment replacement parts. Any experience what that interval is for a mask replacement? It seems to be the easiest path, to simply buy a whole new mask, then one has spare parts on hand. I read that the silicone fa...
