I did not use distilled water. I just used straight tap water. I'll try again.LSAT wrote:Boiling in distilled water with baking soda should make the silicone come out crystal clear.

Re: Cleaning rubber mask
Although boiling did not clean the gunk off, it did seem to refresh the rubber.

Re: Cleaning rubber mask
Well, boiling didn't do much...but washing it with laundry detergent sure did. Looks like new. I noticed that the hand soap I have been using to wash it has aloe in it.

Cleaning rubber mask
How do you guys clean your rubber mask? I've been using hand soap and warm water. After about 2 weeks it starts to get dirty (that doesn't wash off) and the seal isn't so great due to oil that can not be washed off. After about 3-4 weeks it's really frustrating. I wash my face before bed with water ...

News report on new cpap-like machine
I saw a report on Fox 5 news last night about a new technology for treating apnea and snoring. It was a device that goes in your mouth and uses suction to raise the pallet. Anyone heard of this? I can't remember the name, but the guy said it hasn't been 100% approved yet. It wasn't a mouthpiece, it ...

I use a full face mask (covers my nose and mouth). What is a mask liner?BlackSpinner wrote:Which kind of mask do you use?
Some people use mask liners that help with that issue.

Mask issue in early morning
So far the CPAP has been a life-changer. Took about a month to get used to it, but now I sleep through the whole night without having to go pee, the snoring has stopped completely and I wake up feeling great insted of feeling like someone beat me up during the night. My only problem is that after ab...

Re: New guy question
Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like I just may need time to let my body get used to the machine. I guess my expectations were a little high. I fully expected to wake up after the first night with the CPAP and feel brand new. The fact that the snoring has stopped and the frequent bathroom trips...

New guy question
First post. Just got my CPAP machine about 10 days ago and I have a concern. I have spoken to several people who have apnea who all claim to have had a life-changing experience once they got on the CPAP. I was so excited to finally get the machine and try it out. What a let-down. I am still waking 5...
