Re: Problems with my Zeo
For what is is worth, I have been using Zeo with my cpap for about a week and they work together very well. What exactly is the problem you are having? A lot of people with sleep disorders have such sporadic sleep they are not really accurate reporters of their sleep pattern so I don't think persona...

Inflated AHI
Just started using my zeo, which confirms that nearly all my CA's occur during the times I know I am awake but have my cpap on (i.e., before sleep onset and after wakening in the morning before I take the CPAP off). Wondering if anyone else out there has noticed this pattern. I think that means the ...

Importance of Software/oximeter/ZEO
Before I spend the $$, I just wanted an opinion about whether it is overkill to invest in a Zeo and a constant read oximeter. I just started using EncoreBasic and was amazed to see the data available. I am considering upgrading to Encore2.0 as well. I have no problem falling alseep but wake up aroun...

Re: ear problem. Help.
Cpap use can aggravate eistachian tube insufficiency leading to middle ear infections. I developed my first middle ear infection six months into CPAP tx and am now needing surgery to rebuild my middle ear again. This will be my third such surgery.

Is ZEO accurate?
Just heard about the product ZEO. Has anyone used it and do you feel it is accurate? Is the info generated helpful? I purchased the EncoreViewer for my Respironics CPAP and have had a devil of a time getting it to work. It requires a 32-bit machine. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: AHI going up - raise pressure?
I appreciate Pugsy's response. Central apnea can actually get worse with CPAP treatment, especially at first. My doc told me that some people's brains become habituated to less O2 so when they start getting enough O2 at first their brains respond paradoxically......as they have less obstructive slee...

Re: probems with straps
Tx for the suggestions. I will check out all of the above. I agree with you that not sleeping ages you but a good plastic surgeon can tell what sleep position you favor (face down, on your back, or on your side) and that's before you put one of these masks with the strappy things on! Just imagine af...

Re: probems with straps
Thanks for the suggestion regarding strap covers. I checked out the website and will follow up. Do the covers minimize stretching of the skin? The marks are bad ennough but they do go away. I have tried several masks but now am using a ComfortLite2 by Respironics. Tx, again, everyone!

probems with straps
Hi, everyone! At the risk of sounding vain, I am having trouble finding an effective mask/strap that doesn't smash my face. Any suggestions? I didn't even think about this as a problem when I started using my cpap (gladly!) in November but by April I could see the effects -- not good. I changed mask...
