Re: Inferior Replacement Air Cushions for ResMed Mirage Quattro
I always had trouble with the mirage quattro until I found out about mask liners. those made it something I could live with. Thanks! I see them online. I will order some today, along with new head gear and some additional air cushions to have on hand. The first air cushion I had seemed to work bett...

Re: Inferior Replacement Air Cushions for ResMed Mirage Quattro
Thanks for the replies.... Maybe I need to replace my headgear / strap? I will order that today. Any tips or additional products that might help me get the best possible seal with this type of mask?

Inferior Replacement Air Cushions for ResMed Mirage Quattro
I recently purchased a replacement cushion for my ResMed Mirage Quattro full face mask, and immediately noticed a problem.... The material is quite different and appears to be completely clear and thinner than my original cushion, which was thicker and more of an opaque color. Also, the new cushion ...

Re: Newbie - Questions about Diagnosis and Snoring Relief
Thanks! That's more encouraging than I expected. I'll be talking to my dentist about this soon, and post on that forum some as well. I do have a sleep study to try cpap within the next few days as well, so, I'll find something to address my issue one way or the other eventually, I'm sure.

REM Only Hyponia - Machine and Mask Recommendations?
I've got a mild problem with about 9.6 hyponias an hour only during REM sleep. I seem to breath through my mouth a lot, and my wife says I snore loudly in deep sleep. I don't have a machine or a prescription for anything yet, but I'm about to have my second sleep study scheduled with an apap machine...

Re: Help me Interpret my Sleep Study Results
Interesting, actually. They never mailed me my results from the sleep lab, and my doctor never gave them to me. That sleep test was from over 6 months ago. I had an appointment with my ENT doctor and he discussed the sleep test with me at a high-level... basically said that he didn't recommend that ...

Help me Interpret my Sleep Study Results
Newbie here..... and I'm not even sure that any type of cpap is right for me. I was able to get the results from my sleep study last year though and I'll do my best to type what seems like the most pertinent info below. Hopefully someone here can help me in finding the best course of action as a sup...

Re: Newbie - Questions about Diagnosis and Snoring Relief
Thx. My doctor talked briefly about an appliance, but said he didn't recommend it because in his experience he hadn't seen them to be effective for his other patients. If such things do actually work, I wonder where I would find out more about them?

Re: Newbie - Questions about Diagnosis and Snoring Relief
Thx. I will ask for a full report. I know what you mean by the snoring being the least problematic issue to be concerned with, but of course since I don't know what's going on when I sleep, the only thing I hear from my wife is the complaints from snoring! Lol. A friend of mine told me that the cpap...

Re: Newbie - Questions about Diagnosis and Snoring Relief
Thanks for the quick replies! Knowing now that too much pressure could cause an apnea as well makes sense to me now, and I can see the importance of needing the sleep study with a machine and why a prescription is needed. I'm going to follow up and try to get a copy of my sleep study. As for surgery...

Newbie - Questions about Diagnosis and Snoring Relief
Hi. I'm new here and have a few questions. My wife has complained quite a bit about my snoring over the past couple of years. I did a sleep study several months ago and my doctor never showed me my results from the sleep study, but he said that I didn't meet criteria for a diagnosis in the majority ...
