Upgrade to Airsense 11 APAP - Oscar Questions
Until today I had been using a Resmed S9 and had pulled my data into Oscar. I'd like to continue to look at more detailed data via Oscar. Apparently it did not come with an SD card. I'm assuming I need this to be able to transfer my data to my computer for Oscar to look at. Will I need to create a n...

Re: Disastrous Sleep Study
It was better than I feared. Thankfully I did sleep at least 90 minutes during the night. Enough for them to determine that I did still have sleep apnea and that I responded well to the pressure of the machine. Unfortunately I did not go into REM because I wasn't asleep long enough at one time. The ...

Re: Disastrous Sleep Study
In my case, I was originally prescribed bilevel, probably because I strongly hinted to the tech that's what I wanted him to "discover" I needed. However, I now use a ResMed APAP, not a bilevel or autobilevel, since I have found that for me the available 3cm of delta (the pressure relief on a ResMed...

Re: Disastrous Sleep Study
It would help to understand what the aim of the study was. Apparently not to gauge your level of sleep apnea, given that you were supposed to be sleeping with a machine. And apparently not to see whether you'd benefit from a bi-level machine, since there apparently wasn't one there to be used on yo...

Disastrous Sleep Study
First sleep study was 10 years ago. Since then I became disabled and am no longer able to work. Sleep has been even more disrupted with the condition I have. My machine was way old and needed replaced - 10 years. Resmed S9 APAP. I have been wondering if undertreated sleep apnea or additional sleep p...

CPAP Head Pillow?
I've been using a CPAP machine for years and not used any specific head pillow, but I end up having to tilt my head in particular ways because of the CPAP outtake. Lately I've been having more neck problems that aren't healing particular well which has led me to wonder if I shouldn't try out a bed p...

Re: Packing CPAP for travel
I use a carry on size roller bag that I place my CPAP (and when I had it) large laptop to travel. Then I had a smaller bag for under the airplane seat with my netbook, tablet, phone. If you get the right shoulder bag you can rest it on top of your roller bag and have nothing on your shoulders. I put...

Re: Nasal Pillow - feel like I bumped my nose
Even with extremely loose headgear I still have to watch out for piggy nose since I get it now and again. What I've found works: 1) Ridiculously loose straps---particularly the TOP (silicone) straps. My FX is so loose that it threatens to fall off if the back strap moves up towards the crown of my ...
