Re: How to disinfect a cpap machine?

I'm actually really glad to see this line of posts as I had a similar question. Am dealing with a very strange and currently inexplicable pain on the bridge of my nose which is evading diagnosis. Today I had a scope done, still nothing specific to pinpoint and the doctor asked how I clean my CPAP ma...

Re: Taking my mask off at night...help??

Hi Snug, Thanks for the note. Yes - I did actully think of that and we changed my machine to Auto from regular - as well as bumped up the pressure. I actually think it is working - I haven't had an episode in more than a week now. I was thinking that same thing - about suffocating. My therapist has ...

Re: Questions to ask doctor???

I don't know if this is helpful but I use an oxygen concentrator and that makes a big difference. Originally I was put just on oxygen - imagine the surprise when that didn't work!! However, in the comparison of nights with and without the oxygen on my CPAP, my OS level is much lower and my interrupt...

Re: Taking my mask off at night...help??

Thank you! I did a quick search and didn't fit a whole lot but the Pad a Cheek looks like a good possibility! Appreciate you sharing.

Re: LOTS of Supplies For Sale

Quick question - sent you a note about the Comfortfusion Mask - but I forgot to ask if it will work with my ResMed machine? I assumed the various equipment will fit each other but I could be 100% wrong...

Thanks for letting me know,

Taking my mask off at night...help??

Hello to all and Happy Thanksgiving (a few days late!). I started with my mask in early September and was doing really well, then about a month ago I started taking off my mask in the middle of the night & also shutting off my machine. All without waking up - evidently I'm really good at this and I ...

Re: New Guy

Welcome Gary and hang in there! I've only been here (and on my CPAP) for a few weeks now but this site is very helpful and informative with lots of folks with tons of experience! Like you I had anxiety with my full face mask but I am definitely a mouth breather - so full face it is for me. In 2 1/2 ...

Re: New guy question

I'm finishing up week 2 and just came back from my "check up" appointment - all my stats on my machine are good - only 1 night at least than 4 hours and my average is 7.25 hours per night - so why don't I feel fantastic!?! Like others have said - I have started paying very close attention to everyth...

Re: New to CPAP and the Forum

Wow - I really hope it works for you. I know for me it doesn't really matter what it takes to make it work - my life without it is unbearable and I don't want to spend the next 40 or 50 years of my life (should I live that long!) suffering and/or having my life cut short. My husband is currently wor...

Re: Chocolate/Caffeine Triggers & Night Awakenings

I found the same thing - in my first week here and I have been doing well but had a difficult night. Realized I had Diet Coke and Iced Tea and some chocolate throughout the day - making a bet that was the cause. I have always been super caffeine-sensitive but my senstivity had lessened in recent yea...

Re: New to CPAP and the Forum

Thank you for the replies! It's been a week now and other than a few mask issues, it is remarkable how easy the transition has been and HOW MUCH BETTER I feel in general! I am using a Quattro Mask for her (Pink) but it is a small and today I will trade it for a M or L. Other than that - things are v...

New to CPAP and the Forum

I am on night 4 and have found so much great information here - thank you so much! The thing I was most concerned with was feeling so awesome after the first night and then not so great after nights 2 and 3 - wondered if that was normal. Seems like maybe it is and I'm not going to stress about it. H...
