Re: Do you have a backup XPAP machine and have you ever had to use it?

My base machine is a S9 VPAP auto. My other machine is a Transcend Auto that does double duty as a travel machine and a back up. I use both at home. The S9 lives in the bedroom and the Transcend is in the family room when I want to nap in front of the TV. (Using the machine when I am taking a nap ma...

Re: SleepWeaver Cloth Mask - a few questions

Like most masks, some people love SleepWeavers and others don't seem to be able to use them at all. I am one of the folks who love them. I use the original mask design. For me they are extremely comfortable and I very rarely have problems with leaks. Sleepweaver tells you to wash them and shows you ...

Re: Ending up with the right mask

At the departure gate there was a physical pat down of all passengers and an inspection of all carry on luggage. The screener did not appear to have any interest in the CPAP ...

Re: Buying a mask for my beard

I also have a full beard and mustache. Like you I have had a miserable time with masks. In my experience, nasal pillows work well with a full beard and so does the Sleepweaver. I found pillows easier to adjust to and they would be my first choice. However, but they are a problem with my badly deviat...

Re: At Home Sleep Apnea Test

The following is my experience with the 1800cpap home test last year. The unit included a belt around the chest for respiration and a finger sensor, presumably for pulse and oxygen saturation. A couple of weeks after I sent it back, I received a one page report and a prescription for an autobpap set...
