Re: 2nd Sleep Study shows RLS
Finally saw my consultant today. He said my sleep study showed that my machine F&P Icon auto with humidifier was causing some of my apena due to the sensa wake feature where it lowers the pressure to allow you to fall back to sleep. Well this was having the opposite effect on me. Secondly the RLS, h...

Re: 2nd Sleep Study shows RLS
Thanks for your replies guys
I'm finding the thought of the meds a bit worrying as one of the side effects can be excessive daytime sleepiness.
Have you had any issues with this, it's worrying as I drive a truck for a living and an issue like this I could be saying good bye to my lively hood.

Re: 2nd Sleep Study shows RLS
So I finally got a letter from the hospital today, was hoping it would be my appointment to see the doc. Turns out it's just a brief explanation of my sleep study and tells me little more than I got over the phone. It does say RLS but also that later in the night I snore even with my mask on. They s...

Hi
Has anyone any experience of using this
Kai Apnea KA100 Therapy System, only reviews I can find are part of the company case studies. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has actually used it.
Many thanks

Windpipe Stent??
Having a discussion with a friend that had recently had some heart problems, we got on to health in general and he asked if my OSA was cured yet, I laughed. Further on to the discussion we both wondered if it would be possible to have a stent fitted in the part of the windpipe that collapses cause t...

Help with humidifier.
Hi
My details are wrong, I now have a F& P APAP Icon.
It doesn't seem to make any difference what I set the humidifier to, I always wake with a dry mouth.
Any advice for me from you wise souls.
Cheers
Dav

Re: Mask vent waking partner
If an air filter lets air in, it stands to reason it will let air out, I think some people are over reacting, I don't think covering the vent with an air filter to diffuse the air flow a little is gonna kill you.

Noisy Quattro FX
Hi I've had my Quattro FX for about a month now, but last night it started squeaking at the swivel joint for the hose input. Of course I know how to stop thingy squeaking with a bit of lubricant, but what to use on a mask that mean I will be breathing in fumes. Maybe some Vaseline? Any ideas, anybod...

Re: Using a CPAP tonight for the first time!?
My first night with CPAP was only a month ago, again with a S9 Autoset. My advise would be to just accept that you have to use it, and try and make the best effort you can to use as much as possible every night. Also use the ramp function, I found if I didn't I felt like I was drowning in air. The r...
