I also decided to be brave and show myself with my mask on. Gotta come on out and face the hoseheadedness. Cute kid and I'm glad you are taking care of yourself so you can be around to watch him grow up! keep it up.

the soft clothlike bandage tape I use doesn't hurt one bit when I remove it. Give it a try and see if you like it better! (Johnson and Johnson bandage tape)

mouth taping

I mentioned earlier in another post that I have been using Johnson and Johnson bandage tape, that comes in a dispenser roll in the bandage section. This works great for me and is pretty cheap and easy to come by. Hope that helps you!

I've been using Johnson and Johnson medical tape that you buy in a roll in the bandage section. just a large enough piece to cover my mouth. Works great and no adverse reactions. Only thing is. Its one time only. If you have to answer the phone or something makes you have to remove it even for a sec...

Hi, all. Haven't been on in a bit. Hope you are all well. I got a question for ya tho. I recently moved, am on my third CPAP machine in 6 months (mostly due to insurance *limits*) but a friend finally bought one online for me!!! Now I own the machine. stick with it

I am also new to the cpap but from the many posts I've read on the subject, it does take a while to get used to and to feel the results. I have slowly noticed an increase in my alertness and a slight increase in energy. Just wanting to go walking. It is strange not wanting to sleep 13 hours a day an...

That is cute!

Aww that is cute! I hope he never has to use one also. Coming from a family with a father and brother both having sleep apnea, I'd start looking for signs asap. Wish we had known when my dad was alive what it was he had! And once I was diagnosed and called my mom to tell her..she says "you know, I t...

Thanks!

Thanks for the input guys. I have faced the ramping issue head-on and not used it again! Getting used to the full setting wasn't so hard and I was even able to sleep with the mask on for five hours in a row. Once I stopped fighting the machine things got a lot better! The ear, nose, and throat doctor...

also interested

I live in SW Ohio and am also interested in meeting up with other people who have this. Feel free to email me if you'd like or if you learn of any group meetings. Its hard to get support when everyone around you just doesn't know what you are going through!

What is normal?

Hi, I'm new to the community and less than a week ago began Cpap treatment at home. I'd like to share my story and get some feedback on what is to be expected. I had a horrible time with the sleep studies. The first one I barely slept at all, and the second with the machine was worse. I was about to...
