Re: System One Resistance with Aloha Nasal Pillow
Once again, Pugsy pulls through! : ) You're my hero. Thanks. Who knows if it will actually make a discernable difference, but I thought it would be worth a shot. Thanks so much for always taking the time to help out.

Re: System One Resistance with Aloha Nasal Pillow
Yeah, I figured I could just disable it if need be, but I didn't know if I'd get better performance from using it. I don't have a respironics pillow to see what the resistance would be, though. Thanks.

System One Resistance with Aloha Nasal Pillow
Hi guys, I have a Respironics System One 560 (heated tubing, etc.). I recently picked up an Aloha Nasal Pillow, and love it. But I have a question. The System One has the option of setting a resistance based on the Respironics mask you're using. The Respironics masks all have that resistance setting...

Re: Free software for CPAP?
Well, that's an intriguing problem. My SD drive doesn't show up under the "My Computer" section when I pull it up and stick the card in. I tried the micro/SD card from my camera too, and that didn't come up either. Maybe the drive went caput. That sucks.

Re: Free software for CPAP?
Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I haven't had the chance to read the help yet. I quickly installed it, and now I have to leave for work. But I stuck the Phillips SD card into my computer's SD slot, and nothing happened. It didn't recognize it. I opened the program, and there appears to be n...

Free software for CPAP?
Hey all,
Is there any sort of free or open-source software out there for interpreting CPAP data? Something similar to Encore or Sleepyhead? We don't have insurance . . . or money . . . and all of this CPAP stuff has been out-of-pocket. Just curious.
I use a Respironics System One 60 Auto.
Thanks

Respironica System One 60 series manual
Hi guys,
I just received a new, open-box System One 560 w/heated humidfier and heated tubing, but it did not come with a manual. Anybody know where I can find one? I don't see anything on the Phillips website apart from instructional videos.
Thanks

Re: Best mask for side sleeping?
Thanks for the responses, everyone. I did learn the hard way about being sure to get the right size mask. At first the sleep tech put the Confortgel Blue in a Large on my face and said, "that looks good." He probably assumed that because I'm a big guy (6' 6") with - if I might say - a pretty large h...

Re: Best mask for side sleeping?
Yeah, I learned the hard way about the importance of washing your face. The pulmonologist essentially just sent me home with a machine and mask and said, "here you go," with no manual, or instructions for how to work the mask or clean it. It seemed straightforward enough, but there's obviously a lot...

Best mask for side sleeping?
Hey everyone, As a newbie to the "wonderful world of sleep apnea", I am still experimenting with masks trying to find the right combination of comfort and seal, and not having much luck. Is it normal to have so many issues losing a seal over the course of the night, particularly when changing positi...

Re: Resmed vs Respironics
For what it's worth, I went with the Respironics. We'll see how it goes once I get it next week. Thanks so much for the input everybody.

Re: Resmed vs Respironics
And yes it is secondwindcpap.com, so I know it's a reputable store, and I'm not concerned about getting screwed or something, but I wonder which would be the better investment in the longrun, since I don't see us having money to buy multiple machines with no insurance.

Re: Resmed vs Respironics
The S9 would have a 1yr warranty, is "gently used, low hour." The Respironics is new, open box, with the 2yr warranty.

Re: Resmed vs Respironics
I don't know the date of usage, or the number of hours, which is what concerns me. The website says "gently used", and states that most of their used machines have under 500hrs of usage, and they thoroughly clean and test it before resale. But I hate buying anything used without knowing all of the s...
